I remember back when I first started they had "Running Fouls" like that one and also if you used your shoulder (This was way back in the WCAA days. Is this kind of the same thing?
I remember back then you had to get the guys hand to touch the pad instead of just a lateral pin. That was a pain for top rollers!!! ;D

The continuation foul is there so that you cannot get a restart easy. If you don't like what your move did on the go it is too easy to just lift your elbow and get a restart. You should work harder than that to try another move. There was a past world champion that made that strategy famous and that is where the rule came from. ;D

Well that makes sense why you dont restart. But shouldnt that apply only in a losing position? This guy was winning he had no motive to get a restart. He was going in for the pin and on his way down got double fouled.

If I remember the match, he got his first foul with out position gained, his second foul was with position gained and that was match. I will go back and look at the tape.

Ryan: Yes I was in a bad postion with Smisl, BUT I wasn't going anywhere anytime so. When they called the first foul, I too thought they were going to stop us, so I let up. BUT when August kept pulling, and the refs didn't stop us, I started pulling again. BUT again, at the time, it my not have looked it, but I felt o.k. in the position. So Wasn't going down.
