Leonard, I was not acting to like you I chose to focus on people and mine's common denominaters not our inherent differences which is why I would still like you . You are acting like a big baby .... if I dont agree with you I have to take my toys out of the sandbox and go home ... that is silly. You are also saying it was a dig that you are perfect ..well if you wont admit that you never ever ever ever showed any human emotion which could skew your judgment, when reffing than you are perfect something the rest of us are not including myself dont confuse integrity with humanity. I dont beleive you would ever take a bribe to control the winner of a match , At the worlds I dont think you would ever favor your county in an unfair way , these things are integrity and those I do not question ,but to think that because you dont like a paticular puller that it could not affect your subconcious reactions is ludicris. Why do reffs switch off when their teamates or family are pulling ? it is to reduce the temptation of human nature. If there are ceratin pullers you dont like or like a lot you should just switch off because you unconciously cant control human nature. Sorry you dont want to be my friend anymore but it proves the point of why it never pays to say anything to you Christopher Myers (A.K.A. weird view of the wold guy)

This usually happens after a BIG tournament..BASHING THE REFS...Didn't this happen after the 2002 Harley Pull on the other board?
REFEREEING IS THE TOUGHEST JOB!!!!!

Christain, I agree that is why I have never and will never will do it. But I am not complaining about reffing that was done to me. and I am also not complaining about reffing in general or even Leonard reffing in general whether he knows it or beleives it I have stood up for him many times and think he is a good reff. What I think is that he is not able to seperate his personal dislike for a puller during a match . I also dont think anybody else could seperate a personal issue when reffing. Also lets be clear you have done your share of complaining in the past as you have been screwed before. So dont make it sound like I am the only one complaining ever Christopher Myers

Bottom line giuys Referees are human and human error does occur sometimes at the most unfortuante ofd times but all refs do a good job whats the ratio here 1 hundred good calls for every bad one.
I like those odds 100:1, so in my eyes I'l give the refs the benifit of the doubt.

Here's a good question for all of ya. Why does everyone, besides a select few, beat around the bush with what they want to say?
Try naming names. Try saying how you feel, instead of how you want someone to think you feel. Just try spitting every little thing out that annoys the crap out of you.
You'll feel better about it in the long run!!!

Chris, You say I am acting like a big baby and that is just because you don’t agree with me. This had nothing to do with whether we agree or not. I think the biggest misconception you have is how referee’s at the top level work. We don’t get to this level with out a few basic abilities and a crucial one is to make calls on reaction with out thinking. To see it is to call it. If you hesitate you can’t call it. It is just reaction and during the match you don’t have time for anything else. Now in the set up when someone is yelling at you it is difficult to not get mad but when the match starts you are again reacting not thinking about who is on the table. I am not perfect and I regret ever losing my temper. I have tried to teach our referees that if we don’t keep our cool then no one will. That is the idea that I try to obtain. As for the referee switching off from their family’s matches, we do that so that we don’t have to foul them out not because we would not. Also it is not very fun to referee family when you can watch and not have to concentrate on elbows and hurt arm position. It also stops a loser from saying we were not impartial. A good referee is not watching the match but watching for hurt arm positions and fouls. The only point that has been made is that to me saying that I am not impartial is an insult and friend or not I cannot stay silent.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH PETE MILANO HERE...I WISH CHRIS MYERS WOULD COME OUT AND LET LEONARD KNOW WHY CHRIS FEELS THAT LEONARD ISPARTIAL...
IT ALL STARTS WITH
THE MATCH OF TRAVIS VS. BRZENK !!!
TRAVIS CAME OFF THE TABLE AND STATED THAT LEONARD WOULD NOT CALL ANYTHING AGAINST JOHN..
TRAVIS WAS EXTREMELY INFURIATED FOR GETTING THAT LOSS, BECAUSE OF LEONARD, AND NOT GETTING THE CALL AGAINST BRZENK...
I DON'T FEEL TRAVIS WAS OVER THE TOP AT ALL IN HIS ACTIONS...HE DID NOT DISRESPECT ANYBODY, HE JUST ASKED FOR LEONARD TO BE FAIR...
THAN LATER IN THE DAY, IN THE FINALS OF 198 LBS, IN THE MATCH BETWEEN J.BRZENK VS. TODD. H
AGAIN LEONARD FAILED TO CALL A PARALLEL PIN...ALMOST EVERYONE IN THE CROWD AGREES THAT TODD BEAT JOHN...
YOU, LEONARD, SIMPLY DENIED THIS MAN HIS WIN....
AT LEAST BRZENK DID WHAT A TRUE CHAMPION DOES AND ACKNOWLEDGED THAT HE LOST THAT MATCH, AND THAT LEONARD WOULD NOT CALL THE MATCH AGAINST HIM, AND HE SHARED HIS PURSE WITH TODD AND PAID FOR DINNER THAT EVENING...
AND ONE MORE THING LEONARD...BEFORE THE LAS VEGAS EVENT, YOU CAME OUT ON THE BOARD AND STATED THE ENGIN WOULD BE CONSIDERED THE FAVORITE VS. COBRA RHODES...
WELL SOME PULLERS WERE AFRAID TO MAKE ANY COMMENTS FOR FEAR OF RETRIBUTION, AND THE STATEMENTS THAT WERE MADE UNDER MY NAME WERE NOT MADE BY ME, AS I DID NOT PICK UP YOUR FAVORITISM...
BUT SOMEBODY ELSE DID PICK UP YOUR PARTIALITY...THEY WERE FEARFUL TO MAKE ANY COMMENTS BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT...
I ASKED CHRIS MYERS HIS OPINION, BUT HE WOULD NOT RISK HIS CHANCES AND MAKE ANY COMMENTS AGAINST YOU RIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT...
BUT NOW, CHRIS HAS SEEN HOW PARTIAL YOU REALLY ARE AND DECIDED TO SPEAK OUT...
YOU SHOULD DEFIANTELY NOT REF THE MATCHES WHERE YOU CAN'T BE IMPARTIAL....
I FOR ONE, BACK CHRIS MYERS AND HIS COMMENTS ALL THE WAY...
MAYBE A POLL SHOULD BE CONDUCTED BY CHRIS MYERS TO SEE HOW THE REST OF THE BOARD MEMBERS REALLY FEEL
OFCOURSE THE POLL SHOULD BE UNDER ANONIMITY

Chris it was not direct towards you..... It was directed to the other thread about "respect".VERY funny word. Many different interpretations...I should have clarified that. I have personally NEVER heard you complain about your matches EVER.
AND of course I have and will complain about unfairness, thats a good word for it, against me, when its blatant and never stopped. As much as I would have lost anyway, in my second pull in the prelims it "kind" of "looked" like I was half way down when "go" was said...OH WELL, thats usual. In the finals, my loss looked very fair, even after an elbow foul was called. I always appreciate losing fair...And tell so when deserved!

Amedeo, I am figuring that you were not there so let me clear up some misconceptions. First off Travis was wrong about us not calling a foul on John in that match!!!! Go back to ARMTV (thank God it is there) (ARMTV that is) and you will see Dave giving John a foul. Travis was so out of control he didn’t see it and neither did most others because they were watching Travis. Travis earned that unsportsmanlike foul and then again in referees grip he false started so bad, the referee barely got a sound out. That’s right, not even the whole word “ready”. So you tell me how he got a raw deal. Now let’s clear up the match between John and Todd. Amedeo have you ever refereed an event? If you have then you should know the areas of responsablity that each referee has at the table. For those of you who previously did not know this, when the pin is on the other side of the table your only job is to look for elbows and an occasional glance at the shoulders of the competitors. So for you to say “THAN LATER IN THE DAY, IN THE FINALS OF 198 LBS, IN THE MATCH BETWEEN J.BRZENK VS. TODD. H
AGAIN LEONARD FAILED TO CALL A PARALLEL PIN” is absolutely crazy! Amedeo let me type it in block so you can read it IT WAS NOT MY CALL TO MAKE. Did you see the show? It clearly showed Todd’s elbow off the pad at the pin. John shared his first place not because he didn’t think that he won, it was because he does not like to win on a technicality. That is a true man and credit to Todd in how he handled himself at the end also. Amedeo who really are you, I have never personally seen you that I can recall and you obviously know nothing about referees. You start back in with that ridiculous statement that because I think someone is the favorite (not who I think will win) and that somehow changed things. I was not on the table in their match and if I was the same thing would have happened. Now you are stating that I am not impartial in the matches? See Chris all it takes is one person to spread falsehoods and the rats come out. Amedeo I will not answer anymore of your questions because you are not smart enough to even have a dialog with, Chris on the other hand is a different story.

Very funny though… There maybe one true statement TRAVIS said….” ” JESTER HAT, MEANING THAT I AM IN THE COURT OF THE KING TRAVIS BAGENT... HA, HA, HA, HA...GOT IT... VERY FUNNY... BUT A FEW OTHER PULLERS HAVE SAID THE SAME THING JOHN... MIKE SELEARIS WAS THE FIRST TO STATE THE SAME THING, AND SECOND WAS YOUR FRIEND CHRIS MYERS.... TRY AND RUN THAT BY THEM, AND SEE IF I AM LYING... I THINK NOT !!!
