Hello 165 lb Superstars. I have had to reluctantly delay this class of the Superstar Showdown, until after the first of the year. Craig Tullier, and Chad Silvers, Will be pulling unifieds 176, and this would be difficult. Also with Vern Martel maybe having to miss it as well. After Consulting with my sponsors, we feel it would be in the classes best interest, to wait till they can all come together. I have worked very hard to make this class the best, and i hope you see this was not a easy decision, but one that i thought would be the best for the armwrestlers. With the 198lb Superstar Showdown Class in Chehalis representing our sport, our sponsors will be very impressed! Thank you for your support and understanding... Sincerely Sol Ingram

Actually, Sol, I was planning to pull in the superstar showdown and have been dieting for weeks now in preparation. Who told you I was going to pull 176 at Unifieds? I was actually on the internet just a little while ago trying to book my flight, so this all comes as a big suprise to me. The last time we talked, I thought everything was a go and you had my word that I would be there.

Chad, I received a phone call from Sol today and we discussed the 165 at his tourny and 176 at unifieds. I wanted to keep my weight up for unifieds. As per our conversation in Vegas you told me that you weren't planning on going to the showdown for the same reason. I told Sol what we had discussed and told him to call you to confirm. Didn't mean to step on any toes, just told him what I thought we discussed. Later!

If Vern and Craig don't show, I think it would still be a great class and would add a lot of excitement to the tournament.

I think that it would be an interesting addition none the less, but I also think that it would be worth waiting until both Craig and Chad can show. Without degrading other 165 competitors, I think it is safe to say that Chad would take the title if Craig didnt' show, and Craig would take the title if Chad didn't show. Call me pesemistic, but that's how it would most likely be. Being a fan of epic events, I'd rather watch the showdown with the colossal forces colliding rather than having a clearcut winner from the beginning...because Clearcut just isn't much of a Showdown in my book. Just my 2 cents.

Andrew, have you ever seen Cobra, Bryon Thomas or Allen Fisher pull? I disagree with your assessment, but put that class on even without Craig and Vern and you still have a class better than what you would see at a national championship. Besides, Jeremy is the reigning national champ and he wants to pull it. I would like to see the show go on.

Chad, Craig Craig Thanks for posting our conversation, i was worried i had mistaken what we talked about. Chad, I knew i had your word on coming, but after talking to Craig, i wanted to do the right thing for you guys! This class yes without you guys is Great , but it was the Top three that i had sold the sponsors on. Then when Vern said his mother was ill and he may have to miss it, and to top it off, I tried to contact Cobra for awhile, only to find out he was away, i then thought he may not show too.. So I wanted to do something in time so no one had their tickets yet. But i just heard that Denis Dubruiel from Canada, had already got one, and there is no Refund. You know the last thing i want to do is something..Wrong! Cobra has said he will wait till Craig and Chad are there, So i guess what i need from everyone involved is.. if i can put this back together
Craig, will you come if Chad does? Cobra, will you be here?
Please let me know, i will do whatever i can as i also have a tremendous amout of work in this.. Thank You!! Sincerely Sol

No, I know Andrew, I am just saying that it would still be a great show even without two great pullers like Vern and Craig. I know Craig was the favorite in the eyes of some people, but Fish beat him in Vegas and Chad, to most, would be a solid favorite in that class.

"Let them play!!!!" "Let them play!!!!"
In my opinion it would be a shame not to have this event, unless of course this is only a few month delay for a more appropriate time, as opposed to trying it again next year.
