I'm with you Scott... Let's set them up at the house... We should have plenty of room... We'll house all the Northeast challenge matches and then we'll have to get others to host there own Regional challenge matches.. After we have all the winners from the different regions of the country we'll have to get a hold of Dave Devoto to schedule the ULTIMATE PULL OFF...
What do you say Scott??? I know I can count on a FEW good ref's to get involved...

Wow, nice update. Whatever with these freaking lists. It sickens me to look at these things. I always ask myself,
"Self, why do you let these things bother you so?"
and self always tells me,
"Pete, don't sweat the dumb sh*t, like these lists, you know better than to let them get to you".
I usually respond to self with,
"I know, but it is so aggravating to watch this garbage get spewed all over the INTERNET, because once it is put on the INTERNET, it is there forever".
And self usually is able to calm me down with,
"It's OK, they just don't know yet".
And I say,
"I know, I know. Just once I wish they would not suffer from Amnesia".
And self says,
"It's OK, at least you know, and knowing is half the battle".
Then self comes and tucks me in tight, kisses me on the forehead and sings,
" Go to sleep, go to sleep. Go to sleep my little warrior. Shut your eyes and say goodnight. They will all understand one day".

Hey Bill Cox, I found these on the internet: International Armwrestling Federation Member Of United States Armsports www.maine-armwrestling.com2005 Canadian American Championship March 5, 2005 Men’s Right Open 243-UP 1. Peter Milano(CT) 2. Tim Bresnan(CT) 3. Eric Guevin(ME) and since you were said director of the afformentioned tournament, I was wondering if whether or not this was a typographical error? With much sincerity, Pete Milano 2005 Can-Ams Open Right Hand and Overall Champion

No, this did.
20 armwrestling experts (pro-pullers, referees, event organizers) across North America have been chosen to participate in this trial ranking system. The ranking will be modified every month for the first 3 months and then every other month thereafter. These first 3 months we will be working out the glitches. Thank you for your patience.
RULES:
To place in the top 5 you must PULL at least 3 tournaments a year or PULL at any one of the major armwrestling events. ie Nationals, Arnold Classic, World Wrist Wrestling Championships, Show of Strength, etc.

I feel the rankings are as accurate as any consensus based system could be. Because it is based on consensus there will be disputes and discrepancies. Not everyone believes the winners of the Rose Bowl are the true college football champions.
Before there was a ranking system people used to piss and moan that there wasn't one. Then there was the Pinnacle rankings. Then people complained that the Pinnacle rankings were not updated often enough.
This message board affects the rankings, especially when respected people like Mr. Binnie and Mr. Espey post their disputes with the rankings and the reasons behind them. I feel this message board is a strong reason Mr. Bresnan debuted at #13 on the top 20 list. Get on the board and campaign for your choices in the rankings, the judges are reading them.
The Canadians are probably under represented for three reasons. The first is that perhaps most of the judges are from America and therefore are most familiar with American pullers. The second is because Americans and Canadians don't meet up that often. The third is South Park. People who have the whole top half of their head bouncing around when they talk, will not get the respect they deserve any where.
The Canadians possess the infrastructure to construct their own North American Rankings, they have organized pulling associations, a message board, and a series of prestigious tournaments including a Nationals.
Two North American ranking systems could provide the impetus and interest for challenge matches.
Please keep the rankings in perspective. They are not used to garner endorsements or any other financial gain. They are not used to seed the brackets at tournaments which could affect the outcome and prize money distribution. In the end they are only used to promote discussion and serve as inspiration to train harder. They do that quite well.

If you happen to be one of the chosen "experts" who vote, then being DEEMED an "expert", even if you are from the U.S., you as an "expert" should be VERY familiar with ALL NORTH AMERICAN ARMWRESTLERS, or you are NOT an "expert"......
I was an "expert" once, don't know why I'm not anymore. Still haven't been told why. Probably because of who I put on my list and where I placed CERTAIN pullers.I THINK MAYBE it was the second reason why I'm not an "expert" anymore............ HAVEN'T I POSTED THIS BEFORE?...LOL
Todd: BTW, I LOVE the 3rd reason....LMAO!

Damn South Park... You are right though Todd... it looks like my comments were watched as Mike Gould was returned to the rankings. I have to agree with Christian... if these people making the rankings are to be considered "experts" then they should be familair with the whole sport, not just the Americans.

Christian, you got my agreement, experts should know all north American pullers, but lets face it 9 times out of 10 most rankings are merely popularity contests, for example from what I've seen Earl Wilson from Canada is probably just as good if not a better left handed puller than Travis, but because Travis is so well known, and markets himself so cleverly, he is ahead of earl on pulling john rankings.

And to Tood, Pinnacle tried to have seperate canadian, american and north american rankings and we all know how that ended up.

Sorry Ryan i was just trying to make a point I guess i should have used a right handed analogy, and maybe pulling john should do a left handed rankin system
