Hey, Everyone!
I hope that all has been well with everyone. I wanted to touch base with you all about hotel rooms. The deadline for receiving the armwrestling rate at the DoubleTree is July 15th. So, you may want to go ahead and get your rooms.
I also wanted to let you know that there are a lot of activities that you and your family can do while you are not competing. You can take a nice, relaxing stroll along the river in a beautiful lighted park, visit the River Market with a diversity of ethnic foods, visit the historic parts, and even ride the new trolley. All of this is virtually free--except the trolley. Anyway, there is a water park not very far, the zoo, and of course, the Clinton Library is open. If you know that you may want to visit the library or the water park, please let me know and I will try to get you some discounted tickets. Also, Hot Springs is not too far (about 30-45 minutes). Hot Springs has the race track, bath houses, Lake Hamilton, and an amusement park with a water park included (Magic Springs).
All in all, let me know if you need anything and I will do what I can to accommodate you and your family. We look forward to seeing everyone!
God Bless, Tonya Wood

Hi Tonya,
Thanks for the heads up! We still need to get our room!
There are a lot of things to do in Little Rock. I am from LR actually. Even though I do not claim it sometimes, it does have its place in the heart; a lot of memories.
Nancy and I went to Hot Springs on our honeymoon. We were there for 4 days and 3 nights and couldn't get all that could be done...done. Rent a boat. We did and it was awesome. We got to see what we wanted without a guide.
We then went back to Arkansas when our kids came along and got old enough for activities. We went to Petit Jean Mountain and stayed a couple days there in a cabin. Toured the trails and waterfalls. This was after they had a bad fire up there two years prior.

Tonya, Hope all is well with you and Mike. Is the tourney at the Double Tree hotel? Also, what is the closest airport and is there a shuttle to the host hotel.
Any info would be appreciated.
thanks Jim

Yes they have a shuttle when you get to the Little Rock Airport go to the hotel phone wall and call. They have several vans to shuttle from the airport to the hotel at no cost. ;D

We have team competition for each day. Awards for each day. Each team will have a maximum of ten entries. That could be as few as 5 going left and right. All teams will be on a equal footing. You do not have to be from the same state to be on a team. If you have too many armwrestlers then make up 2 teams. ;D
