I thought once the top 10 were set at beginning of the yr, then it was SET. Then, to move up the list you had to beat someone on the list, BUT......first before the move, it had to be voted on "by the committee". However many seem to be left on that committee....lol Thats how i understood it to be. After the initial list was set, by vote, previous wins were irrelevant. Was from then forward that mattered. Did i misunderstand it?

Did i misunderstand it? yes this is how its supposed to be but when something is obviously out of place it should be fixed, maybe there are too many varibles to consider to rank armwrestlers. The fact is that some people didnt vote on certain people because they didnt do the research and find out who they are, we rushed the initial vote and now it seems that it is stuck broke

Yikes guys! If you watch my match (from 2009) with Andrew, we were dead center of the table in a hook and my elbow came off the front of the pad. He was 198, I was 192 (close enough). Though people have said that he had a prime spot in the bracket this past weekend, (I guess Selearis had wars with Stanton and Hirst) that was still an incredibly tough class to win. If you think he deserves the top spot at 198, I can understand. As for the 220 class being tougher than the 198s...that is debatable, all I know is that I have a winning record on four of the guys in the IN The Hook rankings at 220 and have lost to plenty of guys that aren't ranked. In the southeast, I would say the 220 is probably stronger than the 198 class but my problem has always been cutting to 198 and having the strength I have at 220. I know Chris Heath has had similar troubles in the past, as has James Battles and I suspect Andrew Casto as well. Fritz (when trained) is very strong but it is hard for the SC guys to get him to practice each week. I honestly think Timmy Mac is the best in that class but I think Andrew would be a tough matchup with him based on style. I think it would be great to get everyone to Georgia in May and see where the chips fall, that would save a lot of people from all of this fighting. there are many people who should be multiple class ranked and are not this is another problem in itself, where would chad silvers be at 198? but it is what it is for now I guess, this is all the more reason for everyone to show up at SEC Regionals does anyone know why Jerry Avants cant make it?

It depends upon what Chad weighs. If Chad is 187 or above I would say he would be #1. Underneath that weight, not so sure. If we start playing that game though we might be opening up pandora's box. After all, if Tim Mac goes to 1st place at 220 and I have a winning record on Tim Mac...catch my drift? That is why I think it gets hard to rank people based on speculating what their strength level would be IF they were a certain weight. I think it would be great to have an open limitless weight class at the SEC to try and rank the top 10 overall in the southeast.

ya I dont like the guessing games, if someone cuts weight they chose to do so and their rank should be on the line, if not move them out of that class or in this case if Casto has done most his damage over 198 then bump him out of teh 198 class altogather

Maybe set a standard.....you have to pull 2 or 3 tourn at a weight before you get ranked at that weight.....

too many different weight class variations is where the problem comes in, for instance if I beat a 198 puller at 187 was it a weak version of that guy or would i jump ahead of him
too many different weight class sets.

So understandably it is always an opinion based thing. It is what it is

Or.....just bluntly.....wins at 198 only affect 198 rankings....187 or 209 do not affect them.....

Its simple James when you enter a class assume your rank is always on the line and just beat everybody!
