But that's part of the point of these rankings.
To motivate people to travel and do some headhunting.
Give it time.
Rankings will never be valid if people make quick lists based on limited information and shortly after abandon it because someone doesn't agree with them.

Also it will never be 100% accurate even with 100 people opinions.... It's still just opinion.

but.......don't you have to start out with a somewhat relevant list first? All the other classes have looked pretty close so far, but this one........doesn't. I just want some clarification on some of the questions I asked. Not asking for changes just want to hear why some folks were held in such high esteem and others were over looked completely. That's all.

That's all. Noone was overlooked on purpose Giles, we compiled a top 10 from 6 diff guys.... 6 diff regions ... As fir Benoit he scored wins on Alger at fl st but still wound up lower... But that's ok... It was a vote! Giles as the pullers become active this YEAR we'll put in there..... Trust us...... Like Ryan was saying head hunt!..... We're coming to y'all in feb!.... Y'all only pull your area?.... Adventure to Fl and you'll understand why Benoit is ranked where he's at! Patience! TK |

Most guys on the above rankings are well known and are def solid top ten pullers, but who has Jason Ryan or Dan Benoit beat to get themselves ranked? No disrespect, just curious because, I don't see much on arm tv and I hadn't heard of em till recently.... Also, I know Jeff Workman has been around for a while, but I can't seem to remember him having many big wins either. No disrespect, just curious. Casto (don't travel much) but he is ranked way too low both hands. Reference past Ky muscle's, Oh State's and 09 AAA nat'ls Where's Alper LH? His right is decent, but his left is a bad Mf'er Also, how did Daniel Story get left off the left hand list??? (Beat Alex Jigalco last year and has beat James R..along with a ton of other good pullers.) Charles Fisk shoulda made both list!!! WTF? Dude has wins over good pullers in 98's and 220's and has been around 4-eva and is still active!!! He pulled in Orlando last year also, Md, WV and NC winning some and placing top 3 in every event both hands..... James R is a top dog 98's rh and he has been around a while and pulled most folks up and down the east coast from 54's to heavy's ....has anyone bothered to ask his opinion on any of these classes? If not, you may want to. I'd be curious to know how each of you voted and the reasoning behind it. I was told about Benoit Beating Agler and told TK to put him directly above Alger on my list. It is very tough because I don't know everyone who may deserve to be in the 198s so if I couldnt find them on arm tv they got no love, also tough because Tommy is right many of them have never pulled Also in video I looked at I never went further back than 09' |

TK Alright, so,i've been gone and don't have time to be sending PMs, so I'll say this here.....I DID NOT VOTE on the 98s or 220s. The 220s look good....the 98s are not close. TK, you're not going to say that's it and not changing when you are going off on your own away from the group and updating the 98s today when we agreed to vote between us as a group and 1x a month.....collectively...not, what you're doing now making things look official all by yourself. as far as Dan Benoit goes....he doesn't. Not yet. He may have beaten Alger, but that doesn't mean he jumps a full list of credible pullers when he is brand new, noone knows him and hasn't even left his own state yet as a puller. You got to be carefull with new guys....more so, they have got to earn it. One nice win doesn't equal some regional respect when you are that unknown.....but it is dualy noted and an eye catcher. THINK COLLEGE FOOTBALL. If unranked Notes Dame beats #5 USC, ND doesn't go from unranked to #4 in the country. #5 USC drops....ND may or may not.get ranked depending on were they were previously. So, what i'll say to Dan is....do what you do, be patient and it will all pan out down the line with your activity and your consistent level of pulling. Alot of them were either wrong or undeserving on the list you other 5 in the committee have ranked. I know this is new to all of us....but TK, when a seasoned puller in the 98s that has pulled up and down the East Coast and around the country makes a suggestion to you on a class he competes in and follows without a doubt more than you do....try listening before you go ahead and dismiss his opinion to favor your own uneducated one. No disrespect.....but, i'm probably not gonna argue with you too much over the 220s....a class i'm positive you follow closer than I do. There's more.....but if I were to vote today....mine would go like this... 98s R 1. J. Retarides "Casto has the recent win over James over a year and a half ago...but James is a different pulled right now and it shows from this past weekend with wins over Marracco and Smith...Casto has been awol" 2. A. Casto "he was straight disrespected in yalls previous rankings" 3. J. Avants 4. M. Taggart "Alger would be #4, dropped with loss to Benoit...Benoit does not go here" 5. C. Anderson 6. M. Gianelli 7. G. Russell JR 8. C. Fisk 9. J. Toups 10. R. Barnett 98s L 1. J. Avants "Taggart drops out of Top 10" 2. A. Casto 3. D. Story "got the wins to back it" 4. C. Anderson 5. C. Fisk 6. G. Russell JR 7. J. Toups 8. S. Alger 9. M. Gianelli "need to find out from James about C. Lowder being here" 10. A. Edens "moves in with good showing, again, depending on Lowder ...he could be out...but is on the radar and will look to be proving the same D. Benoit is needing to do. So.....that's what I got now that my time is becoming more free and am able to voice my opinion. Take it or leave it...vote it for or against....but, IMO, its much closer than the previous.... |

Me personally, I have no desire to go to Fla. when I can go to Ny, Ct, Pa, etc. In 8 to 10 hrs. I went to West Palm beach for Nat. in 08 and will never drive that far again. Oh and I went to Fla. st. that year too, not to bad 10hrs.

Jerry Avants placed 1st and 2nd at AAA Nationals. Thanks Herman, I told y'all Avants was switched with Savoy who was sent to inactive..... I voted Avants 1- chop 1 Stump voted him 1..... That's why he was so high. There was a great list of. 198 just like 176.... The south and southwest voted for the people they know and have pulled with. I've never heard of Castro until we voted. Also we only had 5 voters for the 198s and 220s. I'm trying to get the rankings up as quick as possible so we can get it going. I've got a newborn also. And I'm still waiting on the 242s and 242+ in which only 3 of us has turned in. I made proposals for changes, I haven't changed anything on the original rankings(but to give them an asterisk) I've been trying to get a working formula for drops in rankings and raise in rankings. The only thing I hear is.... Move the winner ahead of the loser. As you have seen that won't work? During my work day and at night I'm e mailing and talking on the phone with diff pullers to raise interest in the SEC tourney. Aaron, I understand it's your buddies complaining, but you didn't vote! The other 5 did. I was pushing to get these done before the 2011 tourneys started, you guys have been dragging your feet. Y'all knew there would be complaints and now you're backing off and attacking me, noone is being patient. We had to start over. If those pullers who didn't get votes don't pull and get back in? Then we voted right..... Don't you think? Calm down everybody! TK |

This aint no homecookin TK....Its not about MY buddies, its about what's right....and you were d@mn near right on with the 220s...zero complaints, but you're right about it being a new list and it working out as we go. I'm not attacking you....just saying now that I'm able to really look at what was posted and give my opinion. I didn't vote, so my say was a wash to begin with and I would have left it alone but you started making changes on the list prior to anyone else voting...so I went ahead and jumped in. anyways......
Hey, looking at Davids list, I disrespected Alper Cosar....his left should definately be top 10 and his right prolly too. I'm not saying my list is gospel, just food for thought and there are some placings I feel do need to be changed.
Anyways, gotta go to work...we'll all work it out, no big deal.
