Lol funny crap in that case I've got wins over some beast in overalls, overalls are for play, if someone beats me in the over all after I just got done pulling someone from the class up and they think it means something....whatever helps them sleep......the only way to do a true overall is to. Do another bracket and run double elim, king of the hill is for fun and great practice that's it then why do most turnys have overall right and left cash prizes if its just for play or fun and if it does not mean anything at all? just a question........... |

my wife is a nurse and told me even if its sprang or broke there is nothing they can really do for it
most overalls do not give out cash prizes for overall champion, hell most dont give out cash prizes period, hell some have and overall and dont even give out a trophy for overall
been pulling since 1996 and have seen very few cash payouts for winner of a king of the table type overall
that being said its a fun game and great for practice and the david vs goliath scenerio but only because goliath gets wore down before he ever gets to david, but if you have say John Brzenk as goliath then its not really even fun to watch
Karl is a bad dude and it seems he would give most leftys in our region problems but I'm not prepared to give him the best left in the region at any weight but his own and even then its a thin line, I mean he did get flashed in this very tournament , that sais he is not far ahead of some of the competetion, just saying from a completely impartial standpoint from someone who has no affiliation with anyone in the class accept Jason Gulley who is barely being added to the list

As someone that has won an overall or two I have to say I rarely felt like the guy across the table was just playing when it was go time. I do however understand that it is another way for guys to discredit your wins against them. David, the reason you beat some beasts in overalls is because you are an excellent puller.

Thanks guys, but it helps when the guy in the weight class up just had to pull a long match ,that takes away from the legitimacy of the win unless of course you are in that first match of the overall........I'm not saying guys don't try....I myself lose intensity feeling like have already done what I came to do, overall is just icing on the cake

heres a few points i would like to make : 1) everybody is trying in the overalls, there is no slacking off. now how much you have left to bring to the table may be in question, but no body wants to lose. so give credit where credit is due. 2) Karl is a bad dude left handed...(the best at 220 right now for sure).....and i think hes a good AWer right handed as well. 3)David Owens pulled his a$$ off. good job bro. and to you Dan Benoit.....if you wanted to prove something to me, or anyone else....you had your chance practiacally in your own back yard at the SEC. i didnt see you there...........too bad. |
