Chris, pick up a cheap one at Walmart, 12" Mirro brand for $5.88, those are good ones to start out with, plus it's the Guinness standard for the world record Be careful of the edges, they will cut your hands when you apply enough force to bend them

Dan,
Were you watching Dennis Rogers? I heard Bill Kazmaier was bending frying pans at a recent strongman show too. I think stuff like that is fun and I practice various bending as part of my lower-arm workouts. I brought some bolts to work today to bend when I get stressed. This happens almost every day!

Hi Dan,
I usually buy bolts here at Home Depot and the longest that I can find are 6 inches. I have only been bending the 1/4" thick bolts. If you get the carriage bolts, they are pretty easy to bend. The hex heads are a different grade and much harder. I'm currently working on the 4" X 1/4" carriage bolt (which is tough because of the short length) and a 6" X 1/4" hex head. I also like to bend the 60 penny nails. Those come in different grades too and some are easier to bend than others.

dan, a good test is a 1/4 by 6in long grade8, or a 1/4 by 6in grade5. be sure to wrap the ends with suede or leather, wrap the ends as tight as you can, and either wrap a rubber band to hold it in place and wrap the other side. dont hurt your self!

Beats throwing them by the face I guess. I never tried to bend a bolt, just arms.

BTW: last night Dan failed miserably at rolling a frying pan, while his friend Eric rolled it up like it was toilet paper. SAD

Yo d bag. I was more interested in being king of the table.Which I was all night ( except Tim B.) So I came 2 hours late. ;D I promise I will bring pans to Mohegan Sunday for all to witness. And any of you Conn, MARYS(Pete,James,Tim) want to take me on at the table I will roll you up like Eric's toilet paper. For you James I will pull you after I roll the pan so you have a chance.
