IMO it is not right to keep a religious vision and ideas in each and every issues of life. people in this board tend to add a religious flavour to many unrelated topics. that is not to be encouraged. young generation should not take those activities as ideal examples.
nobody is worried if some one fights or argues on some topic.but dont mix religious ideas into it. try to see human beings around you. you can see God in them.
try to love your brother ,neighbour .try to help a stranger....best deeds you can do in this earth... JMO

I think what he was trying to say Dan, was that people shouldn't make every single thing they talk about a religous debate.

Dixon religion runs everything, your crazy to think otherwise. If you do please elaborate becausr i would be lost. We in america for the most part anyway are completly sold on religion. you may see many wrong deeds around you...but you should devolop the sharpness to identify what is right and what is wrong, not only for us but also for the whole human community... God will never like his children harming one another....if such a God is not acceptable to you or to your religion mind you you are on wrong track.... God will like only his children living peacefully without discriminations... by the topic i meant is dont see/evaluate every aspects in life only through the window of your religion....always keep an eye on the target of life '' be good to others and do no harm to others''. keep the discussions centered on the topic. if topic is politics discuss politics.. topic war discuss war...when topic is religion discuss that.. it is not ideal you mix up religion to all other events of life...

I think what he was trying to say Dan, was that people shouldn't make every single thing they talk about a religous debate. But who does that? I dont see anyone on this board doing that. I think Dixon is uncomfortable with people expressing their faith in every area of life, including off-topics on this Board. And to Dixon I say, respectfully, get the f&$K over it!!! Who are you to say what should and shouldnt be talked about and expressed? I know you dont have a 1st amendment in the sh$t hole country you are from, but we have it here, and we LOVE it!!! i said my view.. but asking who are you to tell is not civilised way John..there are many other ways to express difference in opinions.

But Dixon..... War and politics
All have EVERYTHING to do with religion.
Religion is often ignored in these problem areas.
That's the one subject that should not!! Be ignored.
If our politicians properly addressed religion in their decision making things would be much clearer, decisions would be easier to make. Wars wouldn't be as complicated.

There's a difference between having God in every aspect in your life, and using religion as a blind crutch or to justify wars, etc. IMO, God needs to be in everything a person does but don't use religion by slapping it to everyone as your personal pride.

FANTASTIC post. Religion is very often the thing that keeps us from true faith. Jesus' entire friction with the religious leaders of Isreal was that they had tons of hollow religion and were in fact worshipping the law, not God. Religion is never to be used as control. That is a cult of man, not faith. There, I just did what Dixon said we shouldn't do, LOL. (joke)

Totally uncalled for bro Ryan, i understand your point, but i was not trying to be polite. It pisses me off that someone would come on here and INSTRUCT us as to the proper and acceptable role of faith not only in our discussion but in life as a whole. Dixon, I know you are a very nice guy and very smart. But you are unbelievably strange and nieve. Do you still think you could beat Rustum in a hook? When I heard you tell Engin that, that told be everything i needed to know. First and formost, you are arrogant and extremely presumptuous even though, like I said, you are very nice. So when it comes to your opinion about the role of faith in public life, Im gonna assume your speaking out of the same orphus as you were inthat discussion with Engin. I mean, seriously Dixon...why even start a thread like this if not to simply cause controversy.
