Note that I DID NOT say that millions of people believe in God therefore you should to.
I'm simply saying that John patrons testimony of his personal life can not be questioned or dismissed without finding him personally as a non-credible witness.

Simon, I do believe that the world and it's people have evolved. We have adapted and made changes. I don't believe we came from monkeys but I do believe in evolution for sure I simply believe that we got here by a creator. Evolution is definitely part of his plan in my opinion. I also think that we won't have to worry about the sun "Running out" as I think that God will finish his plan before that happens. Things like the "Mark of the Beast" and the two men at the "Wailing Wall" are incredible stories to me. This could not have made sense to people over 2000 years ago. It makes perfect sense to us today. (I'll be glad to elaborate more to those who don't know the story- Just ask). I think that 2000 years from now if we are here, what we are questioning now will make sense to them. (No, I don't think we will be here 2000 years from now.) (At least I won't ;D)

Karen, the answer to your question would be yes. I think that some blindly follow because that is what they have been told. That is how they have been brought up. I personally am not one of them. I think that my God would want me to question my faith on a daily basis. The more I study, the more I find the story to be correct. I personally THINK that Jesus Christ is the son of God but I KNOW in my heart that there is a God. The Jesus part makes the most sense to me of all the other "Religions". There is no doubting that a man named Jesus Christ walked this earth and that the people believed that the stories of the bible were true. We have physical evidence all over the place of this man called "Jesus". Whether he actually arose on the 3rd day and ascended to heaven obviously has not been proven but the people of that day believed it to be so. They went to GREAT lengths to write it down and preserve it.
I have often asked myself, how do I KNOW THAT I KNOW THAT I KNOW that what I believe is right? Simple answer, I don't. But I do think that I KNOW THAT I KNOW THAT I KNOW that "God" created me. I have said in my prayers more than once to "GOD", whoever you are, thank you for all that you have given me and I ask to be included in your ultimate plan. That is as plain as I can lay it out guys/girls. If I'm wrong, I still think I am a much better person for believing. I personally don't feel like I am "GIVING UP" anything by serving my God. I'm happy, not broke, have great kids and a great wife. I enjoy my sports and armwrestling. I don't feel that my life is not complete if I don't do drugs, drink every night and fail to cuss every breath. I'm a happy man. I am 100% happy with my life. I don't feel that I am "GIVING UP" anything and if I'm right, I will be rewarded one day with an eternity full of blessings.

For the record I had to figure this out, if you assume a generation on average, (the amount of time it takes an infant to mature then father a child) is every 15 years then it would take 5000 years just to reach the first 4 million people on the planet, from 4 original adults... So how is it that in only 3000 years Noah and 3 other couples have put almost 7 Billion people on the planet? My math is a little rough but I am building a better spreadsheet to calculate it all the way out. I cannot believe I never did this before now.

Ryan im about sick of you bashing people. Ive tried to be reasonable and get answers but you for some reason will sin just for your god. YES BELEIVING WILL MAKE YOU A BETTER PERSON JUST AS SANTA MADE ME BEHAVE WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. I have been more than respectful of your thoughts but you for some reason believe your way is the only way? Im sure ur not that stupid to to not understand what I was saying, but if you are: before my dad passed, he told me there was an @ss for every seat. I see thats becoming true now. If this still makes no sense to you ask again.

Rick, Adaptation and evolution are not the same. Like you, I believe in adaptation but not evolution. If we came from monkeys, why are the monkeys still here? Bill Simon, I do believe that the world and it's people have evolved. We have adapted and made changes. I don't believe we came from monkeys but I do believe in evolution for sure I simply believe that we got here by a creator.

I wasn't bashing you, simply stating the obvious. And YES news flash I believe "my way" is the only way. So does everyone else. If not then why believe it? I'm totally being respectful of your thoughts. And I appreciate you being respectful as well. But you can't fly off the handle because someone challenges your thought pattern man.

Seemed that this has been a "non" bashing conversation. Has anyone SEEN God or have His DNA? well no. Ryan, and other people like him (myself too) were convinced for some reason or another. There was a level of logic that proved it to that individual. Do NOT say that we are blinded sheep. That's extremely rude and negatively judgmental about a certain group of people. It's called prejudice. This has been a decent conversation and should be kept that way

I blew right past that first sentence where you said you didn't believe we came from monkeys I guess. Trying to remember too many posts at once. I like your idea about the # of people. Remember though. Back in biblical days people would have lots of concubines. Not the 3.42 per average household like todays times. I think that it is reported that King Soloman had 700 wives and 300 concubines and he was supposed to be the wisest man alive! That alone may be your most compelling evidence that the bible could be mistaken !! Just kidding. Trying to keep the mood light !!

Hahaha he was the wisest. That's genius... Nobody would dare tell him how lazy he was for not changing the light bulb in a closet. Or constantly nag him about the trash. 1000 women couldn't possibly be on ther cycle at the same time. And 1000 women there's got to be atleast one that doesn't have a headache or too tired.
Haha

Haha Speaking from personal experience Ryan? LOL A good man/husband would automatically take the trash out if it's needed. A good man/husband would automatically change a light bulb if it needed changing. A good man/husband would know when their wife is on her cycle therefore it wouldn't be an issue. And, a GOOD man/husband would never hear "I have a headache" or "I'm too tired"!!!!!!
