It's sad when politicians place emphasis on illegal agendas to catipult their career. What happened to a system for the people by the people? Welcome back Allen. Sadly the agenda is either geared around appeasement or money to gain more votes. The worst thing that can happen is to grant illegal immigrants amnesty. This would do nothing but increase a specific voter base. Thanks Kyle!

I'd file a discrimination against them under the category of affirmative action. It's reverse discrimination.

Many years ago immigrants were forced to serve in the Army in order to receive citizenship. We should offer the same now. All individuals that are here illegally may stay after serving "x" number of years in the armed forces. If they choose not to, then they should be given "x" days to return home - at their own expense and to whatever city they choose. Failure to do so, send them to the capital city of their country of origin.
Only problem will be many crops will no longer be harvested and sent to market so our prices will soar. Schools, stores, places of business will no longer be cleaned and will become dirty. Yards will no longer be maintained so our neighborhoods will become undesirable to live in. Etc Etc Etc We complain about the illegals in our country, but most are not taking any jobs away from us, they're doing the jobs that we either don't want to do or think we're too good to do.

Produce prices go up and down with supply and demand. The market has a way of balancing itself. Realistically those prices will be offset by the millions saved annually with tax dollars. I worked on a grass seed farm in Limn County which was the grass seed capital of the world. There was a time where students 14 and older competed for those agricultural jobs.

Kyle exactly highschool jobs are being taken....and thats where kids need to start learning work ethic. Karen I think you jumped the gun....you said jobs that we think were to good to do? Its not that people are too good to do them its that the mexicans have ran the price so low no one wants to do them...Do you realize in fl you can get your lawn cut professionally for $10. I cant even put gas in my truck and in my moms lawn mower for that money!!! So how am i suppose to cut my uncles yard 10 min away ? Another example I go to vt every summer, my grandpa owns a construction company, the gophers get paid $10-$12 an hour!!!! Oh and my nephews pick strawberrys in the summer and there white.....When It finally gets to your state you will see....why the hell would I work for 250 a week when Food stamps and cash assistance programs pay more...with that said I have freetime on my hands now i can go work under the table for $50 bucks a day and make it a $500 week.

Exactly. I don't buy the mindset that the work won't be done if they were not here. Who did it before they were here? Hell, I mow my own grass, clean my own house, yard, car, neighborhood, etc. If you have pride in your area you won't need to have cheap labor, you'll have FREE labor...yours! I have a construction business, which was doing fairly well, until the work started going to the cheap labor moving into our area (notice I said MOVING INTO OUR AREA), and started working for half of what I charge. Who did the work before they came in? Me and other people...other than Mexicans, or any other foreigner who is here illegally. We've had this discussion before and my response is the same...If there were no employers providing the demand, there would not be a market for them. These employers bring these guys in under the name of 'Victor' and put a temporary policy under that name and then cancel once they get the declaration page. When I give estimates I HAVE TO factor in my insuranceS the customer REQUIRES. When they complain about the price I have to explain to them the reason for the difference between mine and 'Victor's' price. They tell me they're willing to play the odds and go with the cheaper price, knowing that when, not if, something happens the customer will be stuck with the tab. Look, come into this country...ASSIMULATE...pay taxes...and be thankful you aren't still where you got away from, yet, want to have everything changed to represent that very country.

I vote to eliminate the minimum wage. In conjunction with enforcing our immigration laws.
I don't see how a minimum wage is constitutional in the least bit. If I pay you $2 an hour to dig a ditch and you accept those terms. That's our private business.

I think it would balance out. Sure he'll might break loose. But it would balance out. The cost of living would go down.
Property values would go down. Which is bad for home owners like myself but good for people trying to buy a home.
What sucks is when minimum wage increases the cost of living increases.
Burger flippers got a $2 raise and the rest of us got nothing.

But ultimately it comes down to individual rights.
It isn't the governments business what two people agree on

Wages fluctuate based on supply and demand.
Except for minimum wage
If there are so many construction and maintenance guys.... Wages could drop.... And have. Meanwhile the cost of a value meal at wendys keeps going up.
So wendys has more expenses and less customers.
How is that good for the economy?
Every aspect of the economy should be allowed to fluctuate.

TO ME the argument or idea of - "well they do the jobs that nobody wants or that we think we're TOO GOOD for"
Truthfully, those jobs were more sought after when they paid an honest days wage for those jobs. It was the influx of illegals and greedy landowners/business owners etc. that brought down not only the cost of wages but the dignity of millions of jobs.
I don't have a problem doing any job, if I can make a living. But I am not going to split an apartment six ways with 5 other dudes. And thats what goes on down here. Get paid cash, send it all out of the country. The cycle goes on and on.
Karen I just have to respectfully disagree with you on that. Landscaping was a good gig 40-50 years ago when people paid for it - and when the people doing the jobs were citizens who demanded an honest wage for busting their @$$ all day. But now you got people doing it for $5/hour - and they can live off that because they're splitting up all their costs of living, bills, with 10 other people. I'm generalizing, of course, but where I live, thats what goes on in BULK.
You are right there are millions of Americans who wouldn't take those jobs, but those same people, in general, won't take any job PERIOD! We are a massive welfare state now - with people standing in line waiting for their FREE MONEY - who have become dependant on the backs of people who still believe in EARNING YOUR WAY THROUGH LIFE.
Not to get too deep into the political side of things - but this is the liberal way of doing things. Let EVERYONE IN - EVERYONE DESERVES THE SAME THINGS IN LIFE. Look at the agenda? Its about looking out for everyone's rights EXCEPT American citizens.
This country is broken - there is too much dead weight here - and it will ONLY GET WORSE. But we brough it on ourselves, at least the one's in charge did anyways.
