I have probably ask this one before also, but what are you guys opinions on tattoos and the Bible??? Very mixed reviews although the ones who condemn them are just as much going to hell as anyone with a tattoo if they go by that law, seeing as how if you picking and choosing one you then have to follow them all. Opinions? Leviticus is only book that says anything about something that can be interpreted as a tattoo

That's not in the bible but I think I have an idea why you are saying that.
Paul told a people not to mark themselves for the dead.

How is a cross devilish??? I think it all comes down to the meaning of what your getting it for. For me a cross represents salvation, I truly think it's a grey area.

Even Christ's teachings, His parables, are filled with the application and celebration of the New Law. In the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-35), it is not the priest or the Levite—staunch followers of the Old Law—who help the man who was beaten by robbers. Why didn't they help him? Well, if he had died or was dead already, the priest and the Levite, being followers of the Law, would have had to undergo a rigorous cleansing process. Of course, this "process," part of the Law, left no room for compassion. That is why it was the Samaritan, someone outside the Law, who aided the helpless man. Christ is showing us here that love, working in us through the Holy Spirit, is what's important, not adherence to a Law that puts so-called cleanliness above compassion.

Then, there are those who say, "What about Christ's proclamation that He did not come to abolish the law and the prophets but to fulfil them?" (Matthew 5:17) It is true that Jesus said that not one iota of the law will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. But Jesus accomplished everything. His life, death, and resurrection fulfilled the prophecies and brought to a conclusion the Old Covenant, opening the way for a New Covenant governed by a New Law. So, when Christ is talking about the Law remaining, he is saying to his contemporaries that they will not see a change while he is alive.

IMO it all comes down to this verse. "Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for any one to make others fall by what he eats; it is right not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that makes your brother stumble." -Romans 14:20-21

well, by Christian rule of thumb a tattoo is an easy sin to get past if you look at it as a sin since everything can be forgiven by discontinuing the sin and repenting
so even if it is a sin its an easy one to get away with ;D

Tattoos are sort of a grey area.... I personally think it's stupid.... Just my opinion. I have no desire for one. I can't stand writing on myself a pen much less permanent markings.
But morally or spiritually I don't give a flyin flip if you or anyone else gets a tattoo. Based on Davids logic.... God forgives sin if it is. If it isn't it doesn't matter.
But.... Number one reason I do not and will not endorse tattoos........ A tattoo design, choice or meaning stem from a thought in your mind.
Being that you are human.... You may change your mind. But a tattoo is for the rest of your earthly life.
