Just finished watching Burzynski - Cancer is Serious Business!!! I knew the FDA was a bunch of crooks, but HOLY COW!!! Watch this movie and tell me that this department doesn't need to be cut!
At least watch the first few minutes.
I've been thinking about this since I finished watching this and other movies. I think it's BS that companies and Government Agencies are allowed to block the progress of technology and humanity for profit.
How do we fix this? I'd like to think that the Free Market could fix this, but how could it if the public is not allowed to know the truth.
I hate the idea of a new Government Entity, but possibly a Department for Human Advancement? They would be able to prosecute companies and other agencies. Since this would be such a sought after position to try and corrupt again, if an agent is found to have received money from companies or agencies, they will be tried for treason.
Extreme? Maybe, but I'm tired of people dying because of Big Pharma and the FDA. I'm tired getting 30 miles to the gallon in my car when 100 MPG was accomplished back in the 50s with a car the same weight as a Hummer!
Not sure, but something should be done. Thoughts?

Unbelievable.. Can't say I'm surprised though. The best part is the FDA calling it unethical to not get radiation therapy before participating in the clinical trial. Almost barbaric! Makes me sad to see that little girl about to get her brain turned into scrambled eggs at the end..

Cancer is BIG business, like many other dz states but I can see it both ways. We bitch and moan when drugs have....gasp...side effects (vioxx anyone?) and complain the FDA isn't doing their job and then when they do enforce the rules we come up with conspiracy theories. The radiation thing has to do with the way evidence-based-medicine is practiced.
