How many of you have seen Facing The Giants? It is an absolutely AWESOME football movie. I think it is better than Friday Night Lights or Remember The Titans. Oh yea... and it's made by a church in Georgia. No big name actors so the acting is not great but the story is incredible. Even if you are not into "God", watch this movie for the football content. You will love it. The preacher of the church is the coach of the Giants. He aught to win an Oscar. He plays one cocky dude. Make you a deal, if you HATE it, I will give you your money back. Popcorn and all!! How's that for a guarantee? Let me know who has seen it.

They also made the movie courageous. We just went and saw it the other night. Very moving. Bad acting, but moving.

I admitted up front that the acting was bad but how can you not like the story line? I know you have been doing a little thinking about "God" lately from your posts in the other thread. I'd like to see you go watch Courageous in the theaters. Watch it with an open mind and see what you think. My money back guarantee still stands. It's free popcorn if you hate it. What you got to lose? I don't think there is a dad on the planet who could hate this movie. It's about dads making a commitment to be better fathers to their kids. I think you will like it. Let me know.

Hey Rick. I really enjoyed the movie Courageous. You are right the acting wasn't great but you can overlook the not so good acting with the great messages that they delivered. I have recommended this movie to many people. Well worth the money for me! Looking forward to meeting you in a few weeks!

I hope to find time to pull a little before then. We are playing our 65th (and last) baseball game of 2011 tonight. Thank you Lord! Muzzle loader comes in Saturday and the rut will be on in a matter of days. Wonder if we pulled in the deer stand if it would scare all the deer off? I may work on that! Ha ha. See you soon. Take it easy on an old man will you?

I liked it too. The acting wasn't all that great like you said but still good movie IMO. Too bad though that teachers can't push their students like that anymore though. If a teacher does that now, they are likely to get sued or loose their job over it. Sad but true. Personally I think it makes them a better person when they learn what they CAN do. Great story!
