If you look at what the Southeast is doing, they are running Secional tourneys for rankings. Why dont we do that for the midwest? That way it would be easier to rank people. Rankings are difficult to do, and this could solve the arguements. What does everyone think? Lets start them in the beginning of 2012. I will host one, Im sure Josh will, and Mike West. How about some input on this.

Its a great way to pull alot of good pullers togather for one event, not everyone will make it but more than normal, for the se regionals you have to be a resident of an se state and then they have every ranked class offered which I think is important, you are the right man to get this started willie btw hope to see you at unifieds in may

Offer cash and people will come. They are not gonna show just for a higher ranking. Everyone knows who they can and can't beat or have wars with. So really the rankings don't much matter to some and to some they do.

Cash would be great!!!!-and also another great way to be able to afford going to tournaments is through sponcerships. you can't say they don't work if you don't try to get some, and yeah the ranking thing is kinda a joke the way its set up...I'v looked at some of these rankings and see guy's that havent pulled in ages. or they pull at some local yokal tournament,,,,,and then they are ranked???

If someone wanted to set up a Midwest Regionals like how the Southeast holds a SE Regionals, that would be sweet! Offer cash and people will come. They are not gonna show just for a higher ranking. Everyone knows who they can and can't beat or have wars with. So really the rankings don't much matter to some and to some they do. I agree with this, too. Also, as far as getting recognition/pulling [other] ranked pullers, I bet AAA Nats next year in Indianapolis would be a great place for that! I would guess that lots of midwest ranked guys will be there. I'v looked at some of these rankings and see guy's that havent pulled in ages. or they pull at some local yokal tournament,,,,,and then they are ranked??? Please post names... and how is "local tournament" defined? Everyone that I have ranked, to my knowledge, has competed within the past 12 months, with the arm that they are ranked with...

Well for starters Me I am ranked, yet havent pulled anyone left handed since 2009, other than one tournament (which I pulled a novice, and a once apon a time great puller who retired) and ther are a couple of others, and if you have done your research you already know who they are, and yes I totaly agree with you on the Midwest Regionals Idea, as far as nationals goes, it was a hit n miss between badass's and people who placed that shouldn't have just saying it was a 50/50 outcome of talent that actually showed up.

I have you ranked because I had to remove a couple inactive pullers from the rankings, and of all the unranked pullers that had competed in the last 12 months, I felt you were strongest.
And I was talking about 2012 AAA Nats, not 2011... I think 2012 AAa Nats will be a good place to go if you wish to pull other midwest ranked pullers.

Trapper Saltzman I'm going to talk with my buddy/South Dakota State Director Chris Josten about a Possible MIDWEST RANKINGS CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT in 2012
What Kinda Prize Money/Awards do you think should be given out for something like this??
I think some sort of Belt/Trophy should be given and that it should be brought back every year for this tournament up for grabs, Like in College football.... May be a bad Idea, but its still an Idea?? also I think for a tournament like this its not that bad of a travel distance wise, and also I think it should pay out from 1st -5th,and then 6th on should get a Shirt or something...
