There are a few people on this board who have a mental disorder. I do not judge them for having a "problem", I do however find it frustrating that we are still subjected to this nonsense....day in and day out. For those of you who are offended there is a "report to mod" link at the bottom of each post. Hit it, give a description of why, and hopefully the moderators will do their job and the problem will go away. For those of you who think its "Hilarious"? How about this scenario...I personally know of a potential sponsor/venue who was COMPLETELY offended by posts on this board. That sponsor has relayed the fact of why we are still a "bar sport". There is a time and place for everything, some people just need to learn the when/where.

The Psychopathological Troll
The psychopathological troll is motivated to participate in an internet forum by psychotic delusions or compulsions, or by a neurotic seeking of false self-esteem. The postings of a psychotic troll are unlikely to make any recognizable sense at all. On SOLO, the moderation of first posters effectively eliminates truly psychotic trolls. The neurotic troll either seeks to obtain false self-esteem by manipulating the reactions of others, or by demonstrating his "power" to destroy what others enjoy. The neurotic troll is often manipulative enough to make it past the initial moderation. However, on a Randian site such as SOLO, the neurotic troll's primacy of consciousness soon becomes evident: rather than respond substantively to the actual claims and arguments in the articles and posts he attacks, the neurotic troll twists and spins whatever he responds to, into whatever he has "the perfect answer" to. Then the original poster points out the manipulation and the neurotic troll is exposed. After two or three incidents of this type the neurotic troll usually gives up.

The Missionary Troll
The missionary troll is motivated to participate in an internet forum by a desire to win others to his favorite belief system, or at least to convince others that his belief system is worthy of consideration and respect. Thus, missionary troll's primary focus is on how his participation in the forum affects the consciousness of others—while in contrast the truly selfish participant's primary focus is to improve the correspondence to reality of his own knowledge. If an error of fact or logic is pointed out to a rational man, he will change his mind. If an error of fact or logic is pointed out to a missionary troll, the troll will either (1) ignore the correction, and proceed without regard to it, (2) misrepresent the correction and proceed regardless, (3) divert the argument in another direction to hide and ignore the substantive import of the error that was just identified. Indeed, the surest sign that one is dealing with a missionary troll is that he is totally evidence-proof and never changes his mind. The substantive litmus test of rationality versus trolldom is, when does one celebrate a success? I celebrate success when I bring my mind to a more accurate identification of reality. So, when comments in the discussion thread of my article on "The Ontology of Emergence" led me to reexamine Ayn Rand's view of the status of relations as existents, I changed my mind, edited a correction into the article, and celebrated the achievement of a more accurate identification of the relevant facts than the one I had before. A troll, on the other hand, considers himself successful only if he changes the mind of someone else. Perhaps the only thing that I have never seen on the internet, is a troll changing his own mind.
Missionary trolls are pervasive, persistent, and above all numerous. They are the vast majority of active trolls. The following sections of this article, which deal with the identification of trolls and trollcraft, are applicable primarily to the missionary troll.

The Apprentice Troll
The apprentice troll is one who has not yet achieved mastery of trollcraft, and lacks the habits of stealth that delay the identification of a master troll. Thus, the apprentice troll will often let her mask slip in the most inopportune way. For example, when a Randian disagrees with some detail of Objectivism, or with the prevailing opinions among Randians and Objectivists, he will be careful to present first the full rationale and context for his disagreement. An apprentice troll, on the other hand, will pretend interest in or even agreement with Objectivism, while stating—casually and without noticing—conclusions that flow from his true premises.

i find this thread hard to swallow and all BS aside i am proven right again.
not long ago Jonathan was on this board not only disrespecting Bill Collins but also Disrespecting Travis Robinson...accusing them both of things they did not do, you were VERY vulgar and off the wall with your posts...and because you lost a deal with a possible venue, you wanna blame this board and the FEW members that you feel have a disorder??? this is funny..
today i have really pushed the envelope in my postings and threads, but i have actually been quite calm since i got brought back on this board...
some people dont know the difference between joking and being serious...all in fun...everything is all in fun...i dont threaten anyone, i dont cuss at anyone i just joke around at times and thats that......but dont give me the excuse that a possible venue looked on this board and said this sport still belongs in a bar....omg times 2..
this board is sooooooooooooooo mild compared to ANY other sport message board on the planet.....go look at a supercross message board or a ufc message board....wow you would be amazed....having fun and joking around is better than sitting around being serious all the time...life is short and the things that get people bent are ridiculous.... you are a hypocrite Vazquez, you have the nerve to say bad things about others when not too long ago you yourself acted like an angry teenager accusing a huge figure in our sport...you called Bill Collins names and totally disrespected him....but i guess thats more accepting to venues than joking around....maybe practice what you preach Jonathan

Mac you are right, I did step out of line. I was warned and I stopped. Thats the difference between rational human beings and trolls, I STOPPED. Motorcross, Steroid, and any other boards were not that potential sponsors concern. I used this board to show her how many Armwrestlers actually travel, compete, etc. My mistake. You are missing the point, joking or not all of the stupid posts are taking away from the original thread. As Travis himself stated "if you are offended dont read my posts". HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? You two comment on every thread! People are missing out on valuable information and/or discussions because of the nonsense. People are quitting the board, or just not posting. Sponsors are being turned away. All so you can still act 13 years old?

i find it very funny you wanna blame me and Travis for your short comings with a venue that you would not have even had the experience to handle let alone even have a decent tournament.. i have 2 major sponsors that you can call anytime and bash m all you want...they will laugh in your face, because i sold my self before i sold the sport.... these 2 sponsors have been on this board many times and they laugh. they really cant understand the seriousness of all the politics that mean nothing...its a message board for crying out loud....and as far as you being attacked thru an email for that Reno event?  ? yah that affected me too, if you remember correctly i was the one who funded that whole thing....how quickly we forget....long story short....dont blame me for your short comings,,,,blame yourself for not closing the deal....im doing just fine...and from now on i have nothing to say to you.. i told you that thru text and im telling you now, i want nothing to do with you. so go on with your rants and raves about how your thought process overemberlaps everyone elses....just keep believing that...and make sure you remember that |

Travis Ask David Owens and T.K about the you getting kicked off last time. I did feel bad that you were wrongly accused and I publicly apologized on this board. Do you not realize that between My account and yours Mac was just posting away? I had no idea it was or wasn't you. I have no ill will towards either one of you personally, I just do not care for the stupidness. Mac whether or not "I could handle" that event or not, there was enough money to hire someone who could. Nationals in Reno(Cal-Neva): I was contacted and asked to do it. I knew it was to big for me to handle and put them in contact with the USAA. The stupid games that you are playing are the exact reason the GSR Reno tournament failed. You think by "hyping it up" by posting on everything is helping....its not. People dont want drama. I have had multiple P.M's and text messages by people who feel the EXACT same way. I, and a select few are the only ones with enough guts to strait up post about it.
