Tommy, I know you know this one... Are we rolling down hill like a snowball headed for hell? Lets all stand up for the flag and the liberty bell

John, you lured me in on this thread. I love music, I'm probably one of few that has the volume wide open at 5 in the morning on the way to work!

Here is one. It's a recent song, but talk about awesome song writing. I ride east every other Friday But if I had it my way My day would not be wasted on this drive. But I want so bad to hold you So many things I haven't told you Your mom and me couldn't get along So i drive And I think about my life. And wonder why that I slowly die inside. And every time I turn that truck around right at the Georgia line And I count the days and miles back home to you.... Dude, I love every song Zac Brown writes. When I first heard him it struck me as a little too "James Taylor" sounding but I got over that in time. That guy could end up a songwriting legend if he doesn't get stupid and piss it all away. I'm talking in the league of writers like Stevie Wonder or Lionel Ritchey, Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson. Jamey Johnson is paving his way to being the best thing to happen to song writing since Waylon

Man, I love music too. I wish more than anything that I could sing. My singing is terrible. Even my kids make fun of me.

Jamey Johnson is paving his way to being the best thing to happen to song writing since Waylon I have a few of his songs. I really need to pay more attention to that guy because I think you are right. There is so much good music out there but country radio is so bad nobody gets to hear it. You have to endure a lot of crapola to pick out the good ones. Pandora radio is the best thing to happen to country music if you ask me.

back on track.... let's get rolling again. Guess this one-
Now you're back and calling me with open arms What happened to the one you met with all that charm? You say he's gone, you're alone, well that's a shame If you think real hard, I know you'll see just who's to blame

I pay 5 bucks a month for the full service.

Based upon the lyrics you posted that was my first guess. But as usual I didn't go with my first inclination. Waylon does that song also

Based upon the lyrics you posted that was my first guess. But as usual I didn't go with my first inclination. Waylon does that song also Waylon recorded quite a few songs written by Billy Joe Shaver. Shaver was a songwriter for years before he put out his own first album.
