Alright I just purchased my first Traeger. These things are the TRUTH. So far everything I have cooked is the bizness. These things really live up to the hype. I'm a fan for life now. Propane and charcoal are good but pellets are the best.

The best hamburgers, honey mustard pork roast, pork tenderloins, brats, chicken, steak, turkey burgers, and chicken burgers. Only time I'll go back to propane is camping.

Sometime we'll have a Traeger practice when the weather is good.

I have had one for years, bad thing is the auger just froze up on me with moisture and cant free it up. It was about time for a new one anyway. You will never beat the taste.

Traegers are awesome, but since they moved manufacturing offshore these are the problems you get. Components made on the cheap, augers that freeze, other components that just quit working... Sadly if you buy one today all you are really paying for is the name. I have had to rewire and replace augers in 3 different Traegers for family members and this alone has kept me from buying one. One of the downsides of the Traeger grill construction is their inability to maintain heat in very cold weather. I've had to swipe a welding blanket from work to insulate the grill chassis one Thanksgiving so the turkey would be done on time. For my money you can't do much better right now than a Big Green Egg. They're well insulated, and the food that comes off them is just as tasty as a Traeger. If you are really serious about BBQ, google "Mak Grills". They're made in the US and are top of the line.

Ouch both those are a little spendy for my taste Josh. I'm a Traeger guy for life. Great quality, good price, and a 3 year warranty.

Big Green Eggs are around $600, Maks around $2200. BGE's have a lifetime warranty.
