For a fun little pistol the Ruger SR-22 is a bad little piece.

I can't get any decent .22 ammo.
Carlos, I wish I could get Varget.

It's a sad day when a man has to say 22 lr is hard to find.

When it comes to optics Burris makes top notch glass. I love me some Burris.

A friend turned me on to Primary Arms. I wanted a 1-4 for my AR. I looked at everything out there. I put the Primary Arms 1-4 with illuminated dot and I couldn't be happier. It's a tad heavy but build quality is excellent and the clarity of the glass belongs in a way more expensive scope.

That's a super reasonable price John. I'm curious how it would match up to a Burris MTac. This might be a game changer. Does it reach out past 100 yards?

Yes it does. Obviously depending on your eyesight, but the reticule is very well designed to calculate your drops (or holds).
With a 100yd zero shots from 50 to 300 yds require no dial adjustments.
4x is pushing the limits of what my 41 year old eyes can see at that distance but realistically a 55gr bullet from a carbine... Well let's just say if I can't see it there's not much use in shooting at it

BTW for the same price Primary Arms has a true MIL DOT scope with first focal plane power adjustment. That's incredible.
On a bolt gun that's the scope I would buy without thinking twice
Check the youtube vid of a guy shooting at 1000 with this 100 dollar scope. The dude next to him with the $2000 scope is blown away.

I rate it higher than the Burris models I looked at. It's heavier though. I have used mine hog hunting. Light transmission and clarity in low light were excellent. Granted, you'd expect this with any low power scope. But I can't find any distortion at any power settings and my zero doesn't shift. Best 150 bucks I've ever spent.

It's not small or light. But at 1x with the illuminated dot I can shoot both eyes open with almost no tunnel effect. Attachments:
