I'M ACTUALLY THINKING ABOUT SET GRIPS?
1. WOULD SPEED UP EVENT (LOT OF PULLING) (WOULD AVOID GULLEY VS VICKERS SITUATION) 2. KEEPS EVERYONE EVEN.
BUT TIME IS THE BIGGEST POINT.
I'D LIKE TO HEAR SOME OPINIONS AND INPUT.
WE'D LIKE TO MAKE THE TOURNEY FUN AND COMPETITIVE AS POSSIBLE.
JUST WANTING OPINIONS.....DOESN'T MEAN THATLL ITLL CHANGE.....YET.

Leave it alone, but remember 30 seconds means 30 seconds.

Leave it alone, but remember 30 seconds means 30 seconds. TRUE THAT.....THERE WOULD HAVE TO BE A STOP WATCH.......NOT A BAD IDEA.... THE "NO" MOVEMENT DURING SET GRIPS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED WITH THE REFS AS WELL.... HONESTLY YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO TURN WRIST DURING THE SET GRIP.

ALTHOUGH....I REALLY LIKE THE IDEA OF:
COMING TO THE TABLE SHAKING HANDS....ELBOWS DOWN....STRAIGHT WRIST.....THUMBS DOWN..........YOU SET YOUR FINGERS DOWN BELOW THUMB KNUCKLE WITH REF SUPERVISING..... READY GO.

Jackie johnson used the set grip format at the clarksville tourn a few weeks back and i loved it. Both pullers set fingers down at the same time. If u cover the other persons knuckle when u closed ur fingers, u got a foul. Was way quicker and you placed your own fingers instead of the ref closing them.
