Just my 2 cents:
I liked part 2 the best out of the three. I understand that the trash talk is good for short clips, and it's entertaining, but only if you know who they are. Part 2 started to get the audience more familiar with the two pullers by telling their story. After watching that clip, even being an armwrestler, I started to choose someone to root for.
I'm sure this is just a glimpse of what is to come, but like I said, more of part 2 will make the rest mean something and give Joe Schmoe someone to root for. I was watching American Ninja Warrior, and found myself rooting for, or against, a competitor because of the little clips before their runs. The whole hero/underdog vs. the heel/cocky guy thing, which is what I felt part 2 started to create. I would bet that 9-10 random people that watched that clip would want Justin Bishop to win. Now if you threw in a part 2.5 talking more about Jake's life, which I'm assuming hasn't been all gravy, then you'd have people arguing about who they want to win. That's where it gets entertaining!
Again, probably just stating what you guys already know. Overall the production of the videos is awesome and can't wait to see what's next!

Nice perspective chris. After part 2 I was rooting for Justin too haha! Life wasn't always gravy for me at all. Military life, debt, jail, wreckless behavior, blah blah blah. I'm proud of where I'm at and I'm surrounded by amazing people. Can't wait to unleash on saturday

Jake, if it's not too personal I hope that some of that backstory trickles out as your character develops over time. It would add some real depth, if that's the way you want to go with it.
For now I think the persona of your character is going to work out very well. It's a bit Chael Sonnen, but he has millions of fans so that's not a bad thing. It gives you a lot of directions to take it down the road.

I know it's difficult to fit everything in with only a few min of video. I'm sure as time goes on all involved athletes will have more than enough exposure. Winning is what is important to me right now.

Right on. As it should be. Don't let the story be bigger than the match.
I wish the best of luck to both of you. Both of you are fantastic athletes.

People want to relate to the athletes more now, and I'm sure that'll happen in time. I don't know if anyone remembers the last Super Bowl where they talked about Kaepernick's upbringing and life before the game. I didn't give two sh1ts about who won that game before, but found myself rooting for the 49'ers just because of that. It gave me someone to root for. Either way, good luck to both of you guys this weekend! I'm sure you and Justin will put on one hell of a show!

I really liked these build-ups--I wish that more would've been done with Monster and Hoffman leading up to this, wouldve been cool to see a behind the scenes for them.

We would have liked to but that match was added too late to the card not to mention each one of these series costs over $5000 to make so were only making one an event!
