Congragulations on your best sportsmanship award. You pulled so hard it hurt to watch ;D. I thought if you could have used a dump move you would have had him.

Thank you Leonard, that was my very first sportsmanship award in 24 years With the pain I was having in my elbow I couldn't dump him any lower.......this isn't a complaint, but what is the regulation pin pad height ? They seemed low to me, several times during our last 2 matches, I had the back of John's forearm parallel to the table top. John Parton is an awesome puller and brother in the Lord, and if I had to get 2nd I'm glad it was to him

Mike West is the MAN!!
Look for a video clip of him tearing a phone book in half on ARM TV and what is more extraordinary is that it was twice the size of the phone books he used to break the record and it was after he pulled, in pain I might add, two really really really long matches with John Parton!!
It was AWESOME!!!

Hey Mike, I had no idea you had never won a best sportsmanship award before, maybe they figured that it is easy to be a good sport if you always win. The true sportsman can be a good sport even in a loss. The pads have a 2 in difference in height and yes that is what it is suppose to be. Great pulling and a big thanks to you and Chris for coming. ;D
