Hey guys, new to the site. I've always loved AW but hardly do it. Really only once in a while at work, or at the bar. My dad used to compete and was very good. I think that's why I loved the sport from a young age. I remember watching him on the job pinning 350 lb laborers in a split second like it was nothing at 200 lbs. I've always fared well myself, and am now looking to step it up a level. I see there is a tournament in my area March 21st. I was wondering if there were any guys training together in or around Philadelphia. I'm 6' 205 lbs and am planning on wrestling 198 at the tournament. I've just started diet and exercise arm wrestling specific, but don't have anyone to pull with.

If you are mot to far from where the tournament will be held call the meet director Sue Fischer and she can tell you where to train.

Bill, I'm pretty close to there. Only about 10 miles away. Maybe I'll give her a call. I did ask her a few questions via the message board on her tournament post. Thanks.

John, thanks for the response. Tim also sent me a message. I replied and am waiting to here back from him. I'd love to train with you guys. I really don't know how good I am or what, I just love arm wrestling but really have only wrestled guys at work and stuff. I always win, and beat bigger guys, but at the same time, everyone I wrestle is a novice. I'm kind of thinking I might wrestle some guys my size that actually compete and I'll get smoked. Lol. I do kind of know the basics more than the average guy I'd guess, we'll see. Look forward to getting more involved in the sport.

Sue Trains with Team NJ at Jim Bryan's house. He's in Southhampton, NJ, kinda near Medford/Mt Holly area.
We have a good group from Novice to pro and from 154 to SHW. Usually train Sundays at 1:00 PM.

Shawn, I may looking to practice Sunday with you guys if possible. I'm not 100% sure if I'm available I would have to find a babysitter, but I'd like to get in the table. I practiced with Tim last week but he's away for a tournament this weekend. Thanks
