Good question
I have alway had a terrible diet, I grew up on fast food, microwave dinners, hamburger helper and top Raman noodles. Mountain Dew all day everyday. Over the last several years I have winged myself off most of this crap
Now I eat chicken breast, lots of eggs, lean ground turkey, fish, and an even choking down salads for lunch something I have never been able to do.
I'm getting better with the eating and killing it in the gym, first time in my life I've done both at the same time.

i eat like crap. it needs to stop. when I was younger all I had to do was cut out sugar and "think" about losing weight and it would come off. Now I'm older and my metabolism is basically zero. My mind still thinks I'm 25 and refuses to accept the truth that my body has changed and I refuse to acknowledge that my daily caloric burn is near zero. Couple that with the fact that I love food. like, LOOOOOVE food. When I was a kid we were very poor. I was hungry every day. There were times when I only ate at school, and on weekends we scrounged. When I grew up, food became my comfort. I feel successful in life when I eat good food.
I've finally gotten too embarrassed to look at pictures of myself, so i'm turning over a new leaf. I'm tired of seeing my reflection walking past glass doors and windows and noticing that my stomach gets where we're going before I do. I have to lose weight or else I never will. I'm 43 now... I'm running out of time to get in shape.

Great to hear John. Hope it works out. Anything I can do to help let me know. I stopped being a personal trainer long ago but I still consult a lot of men and women....on diet and traning. I've never really ate for taste..its more for function. But I do go crazy every now and then. I was poor growing up also. So depriving myself is no big deal if I need to. I don't crave much junk food...mostly cause it makes me feel like sh!t after I eat it. But I do eat a lot. I mean a lot...lol...but to hold on to my muscle I have too. So some days I'll have to throw in some junk food to keep my calories up.
Breakfast:
Bowl of cheese grits Half dozen eggs Half pound of Turkey bacon Protein shake.

Thanks, Travis.
I bought the DDP Yoga package. I know, it sounds corny. But a lot of stuff is going wrong with me and hurting, and I also know a lot of that is diet related. I need a way to work out that doesn't throw my back out (which happens constantly) or make my gout flare up and cripple me for a week (which happens a lot).
I'm going to try this DDP Yoga for a bit because it has no joint impact. It also comes with a diet plan that I'm going to work hard to stick to.

Hey if thats Double penetration yoga I'm down!!!!
All jokes aside sounds good John...I'd love to hear how it goes with your progression. On here or in private. (205)777-2803. Just remember a healthy life style is not a sprint.....its a marathon. It takes your body 6-8 weeks just to realize you've made a change....its why most don't stick with it long enough. Keep me posted either way. I'm very interested.
And much respect for your honesty!!! Hope your aches and pains fade soon bro!!
