;D Two things -- first of all -- The article about female armwrestling in ESPN Mag -- is coming out this weekend or has already come out .. Check it out!!
Also -- I can't help but get frustrated when the rankings do not include women.... look we travel, train, and compete just like the guys.... WE get NO CREDIT!!!!
Lets see here -- how many women work their asses off and travel to compete: (in no specific weight class)
Blik, Been, Westberry, Casto, Mitts, King, McConnahey, Paul, Hopkins, Peterson, Moraneau and list goes on and on..... Sorry -- it is just that I am frustrated .. One male competitor actually called us the "dumb bitches that pull" -- boy does that get under my skin...

Nicole I agree with most of what you said. I understand your frustration b/c you are a hard working armwrestler. My stance has always been this: Offer the classes for women. If they fill them good, if they don't fill them combine. I think sometimes the small # of classes scares away some women that would like to pull.

Nicole You right, I think there should be ranking on the ladies. Sevan should include it. How ever its hard to choose the weight classes. How would you group them? What impressed me was the showing at the Vegas tourney. I doubt we'll ever see that many ladies in one room again for a big show. Another thing, a super match was offered to the ladies and nobody showed. Doesn't look like it will ever happen again. It was a way to start the rankings on the men some what.

The ladies supermatch was for the lightweight ladies -- and there were several personal issues that happened and just did not work out.. Won't be another ladies supermatch -- too bad..
Weight classes for the ladies -- most tournaments that I go to are 67kg and 67+ kilo... If there are as low as 2 women in a class I would condense -- but like I said -- over 90% of tourneys that I go to are 67/67+ or open.
James -- I am with you -- if they come fill them if not combine them.. I don't care if you out weigh me by 100lbs -- I 'm not gonna back down -- neither is any of the other ladies that I mentioned earlier.
I am quite sure that Sevan and Bessie will include ladies at some point. They are very busy people. My comment was not directed at them...
Keith -- Don't lose faith in the ladies numbers.... Here in the south we have some fierce women.... The NEast has some tough women -- not to mention those west of the Mississippi...

Nicole.
What is your take on the ESPN article? Did they do a good job? Was it positive for armwrestling and women's armwrestling?
I'll look for it on Monday.
