Hey Neil, I like the picture of the wristcurls, and noticed that you are doing them with the wrist and hand supported on the table or bench top, so that you go from straight wrist then move the weight. correct? I am going to give that a try as well, because I have been doing them without support for the wrist or hand, which means I have to support the weight as well as curl it. Makes it harder but I use a lot less weight. See below:

Hiya Steve, actually Champ we don't have ANY support under the hand when we wrist curl !!! I think that the Very Thick bar we use actually makes it harder too, as the hand is very open throughout the exercise. The wrist and forearm rest on a little bench up to about 1/2 inch behind the hand, BUT the hand is hanging over the end of the bench in free space mate NOT resting on the bench !!! We do however NOT go past straight into a negative extension at all you're on the money there mate, straight to full flex and back. We do some SERIOUS numbers too 230kg on set 6, 60reps is best to dat BUT that hurt like hell !!! Wrist curls are an are we have specialized in for over a year now and we are strong on the exercise as a team at this point BUT it ain't Armwrestling is it, my arm actually gives in matches LONG before my wrist you know. Take care Champ. Neil.

ps. The reason why we have to rest the actual forearm on a bench is that its impossible to hold 230kg or even 150kg in position ready to curl without it !!! and if you have more of the forearm hanging over the end of the bench (which we used to do) your forearms begin to feel a bending pressure and the bones would snap........NOT GOOD !!! Soooooooo only hand over the end but believe me at anything over 180kg its very hard in truth and if you can't lift the weight it simply drops right through you bending your wrists right back !!! ask Andy Barker ha ha he had a very bad bendy wrist double back failure experience at 200kg this weekend just gone Weigh doesn't just go down onto the bench and stop........theres no bench under your hands !!! just three spotters with sore hands and bad backs !!! you fail the lift it rips you open and you dooooooooo feel it in the weee hours Steve ........trust me mate I've been there ha ha ha Take it easy Champ Neil. Cheers Neil.
