I think Chris Myers is a real man, and I respect him very much....
To come on this board and clarify what transpired between me and him, and the deal that he had with Travis Bagent shows that he has a lot of character....
So as you guys can see, I am referring to John Brzenk and Matt Girdner, Travis did know way in advance about this event....and did have a deal with my boy, Chris Myers, and that's why Travis did not disclose that he had knowledge about this tournament...
This below is Chris's response to what the truth really is....in response to Pete Milano's allegations.....

Why would Travis forfiet $2500 for $100 ? The math does'nt add up . Sounds like a pretty weak bribe ! Now that the cats out of the bag , curious to know who will be attending this " MONSTER TOURNY " ? I truly hope that this tourny is for real , and possibly in the future these guys will plan this a little better and get all of the armwrestling community to come and battle . I cant imagine Travis taking any kind of pride in winning this tourny ! If he even shows up ! Like john said , " I doubt any of us will be in any way shape or form to pull each other again with in a week after pulling Zloty ." I for one recover fast , but not that fast !

So why is it that you are throwing Travis under the bus ? Why not let Travis come here and let us know all this ? I for one still haven't heard his side of the story .
I will make one further comment on this and for me it will be the end of it unless I am confronted by Travis to here his side .
I don't know Travis all that well , but he seems to be a great guy and I concider him a good friend , my God he put up $ 100 bucks so I could make it to Zloty and I right now I am probably his biggest adversary in our respected weight class.
If he was doing this to help out another friend ( you ), than so be it . I can't imagine him letting you put up $ 100 bucks if you are in such dire staights .

Matt,
What point are you trying to make? what is the 100.00 you are talking about ? if you are talking about the entrants fee it is 275.00 not 100.00. And Travis would not have had the oppurtunity to get the 5000.00 at that point without me because nobody but me knew about it. ( where and when the event was )
what does Travis putting a 100.00 for Poland have to do with anything? I put 250.00 into your trip. I gave 250.00 to you and 250.00 to Ron Bath. Maybe you did not know. Two months ago when I gave that money to John B My financial situation was DRASTICLY different than now . Sales tax confiscated my 650,000.00 Goodyear Dealership and sold it at public auction. and they are still trying to take my other one . crap happens..... 2 months a go 2500.00 would mean nothing to me now I happen to need it. My point was to not have Travis take heat because I asked him not to tell anybody about it.....simple....nothing complicated. I dont need or want any sympathy for my situation I am self made and and can and will recover. I just want to be clear that Travis was not being sneaky I was. and I will face the responsability for my actions

Chris and Amedeo ,
If my comments came across as cynicle and criticle , i do appologise . Some of the info that was being posted here, for me anyways , , just wasnt adding up.
Like I told Chris , keeping a big tourny a secret is a bit sneaky , but if it meant to help out a friend in need , I would have done the same !
Like I said before , I like Travis . I think he is a great guy and is a huge attribution to this sport . Chris I have met you a couple of times , and from that you seem pretty cool yourself ( even though you keep putting Travis ahead of me ! lol! ).
Amedeo , I don't believe that we have met ( if we have , i'm sorry i do not remember) but I look foward to meeting you some day .
Chris I am sorry to here about the bastards with the
I.R.S. doing that to you .
I do plan on re-paying everyone that contributed for me when I win the Zloty Tur !

Being one of the aforementioned skeptics, I hope to hell he has the best tournament of the year. And I hope he has 49 more between now and June. While it would be a fancy trick, it would also be fantastic for the sport.  |

Amedeo, I have to say you are very obsessive about the legitimacy of this tournament.
I am not sure what to think about your loud typing and coming across as a kid telling on Travis.
I heard rumblings about this tournament way before your post. And honestly I didn’t consider even asking Travis or anyone else about it. It was so far out there crazy weird I quickly dismissed it.
If I am wrong …oh well I have been wrong before ….but don’t take offense to my view.
I don’t blame anyone for not brining this tournament up….
Your public judgment of a few arm wrestlers seems a little unwarranted especially under the circumstances.
I hope your not calling me a hater …

You are absolutely right to doubt the validity of this event, because of how much money is being given away, and also because it is put together by a promoter who knows nothing about the world of armwrestling....
The haters, they know who they are, as they identify themselves as such....
I just feel that the way this event was disregarded by some of the authorities of this sport seems unjust, especially since you guys have not made any phone calls to the sponsors, or Fox 5 to find out if in fact it was going to happen...
I, as much as the rest of you wish that this goes off like it's advertised, and no gimmicks or tricks will occur....
I know for a fact that the second edition will not be in doubt...
Can't wait to meet all of you in NYC, after you kick some serious ass in Poland, and we could further discuss any misunderstandings....
