I wonder how many more people would join if the board was titled:
-United States Armwrestling Message Board -USA Armwrestling Message Board
But then again, there is that age-old saying: "Don't fix it if it isn't broken"
Just looking for opinions....

I don't really want it to change, but a suggested title, "The James Retarides-Most Posts- Message Board" would be awesome...for awhile anyway. (It would tend to go to his head.) Other than that I agree with the, "If it ain't broke - don't fix it!" philosophy. Whenever I am at another computer that doesn't have this site in the favorites, I do a search in Google for "Northeast Message Board" and this comes up. Since Google brings up the most clicked on link for its first listed results, it would devastate me, and others, with our navigating abilities if it were to change.

Hey Kurt,
Just leave it... It's growing by leaps and bounds already so why change it?? Secondly why not show your pride in the Northeast, it is your home area!!!

I would change it to the International Armwrestling Message Board b/c that is exactly what it has become. It is the logical progression (Maine, to Northeast, skip national, to international). There are members from all over the world and that should be taken into account. Though Hester's idea is good too.

LEAVE IT,KURT!!!! YOU started it up there in the Northeast, let it stay as Northeast. EVERYONE knows it as that. It gives the Northeast recognition in Armwrestling. Not alot of people ( younger people ) know how the northeast was HUGE for armwrestling 20-25 years ago. With names like: Turner,Baker, Mason, Accardi, Givens, Devio, Lasorsa and many others (sorry if I skipped some names, its to early in the morning ). NOW the Northeast is making a name for itself AGAIN with pullers like: Sinks, Cuervoo, Retarides, Guevin, Brown, Howgate, Stilkey, Starks, Klemba, ( AGAIN, sorry if I'm missing some names ) And stilling pulling or back pulling again Accardi, Devio, Lasorsa. SO I say Leave it as is!!!!!!!!!

James has a good suggestion but I do believe that everyone knows the board and if you change it there will be confusion. It has blown away all the other boards now.

Hi Kurt, First I want to thank you, and everyone else for coming to the Unified Nationals. It was great to finally meet you. As I told you then, you have a GREAT message board. To be able to identify everyone by their pics on the site was truly a benefit. MANY of those at Unifieds recognized people and made the effort to personally introduce themselves to each other. As far as a name change. You, personally, and the Board have earned a reputation of being honest and truthful. You have given us the opportunity to express our opinions, without having to hide our identities, knowing that if someone disagrees, or agrees, we know who it is. We don't have to worry about people not having the courage to come out in the open putting in their "2 cents" when it isn't worth the "2 cents" and only serves to stir up conflict. You should keep the name and be proud of what it stands for. Northwest Armwrestling Message Board says it all! Hope to see you again soon, Denise

Kurt, you have put a lot of time and energy into this board and have done an outstanding job. I agree that the name of this board is now known throughout the world, as a site to go to for honest dialogue. Changing the name wouldn't change the quality that it is known for, nor the quality people who use it. You've done a good job Kurt, change it if you want, but I don't feel that it is broken.
By the way, are we training this weekend?

Kurt. don't change the name. You have done a lot of work to get this site to what it is. Nothing that you would do would make better. I agree If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Kurt, Keep the name. You have done a great job with this site and provided something special to all armwrestlers. You deserve the credit. I do understand what you mean, as the site has grown into a World wide site, but let people know where it all started. By the way, Christian. why where you up so early? You must be working those long hours! I wish I had your job! ;D Steve Phipps
