I was shocked, happy, sad and mad all in an hour of reading the posts concerning RJ. Thanks to those who back us and shame on the ones that don't know their facts. Olin, I know well and considered a friend. Mr. Colleti, I don't know you at all and I know you don't know my husband well enough to talk about him. Here it goes, I apologize Travis but I will have to use your number system for this.
1. Olin says "plain and simple numb nuts he didn't turn his paperwork in?" Olin, did you actually fly your family to the Arnold's before being told you wasn't able to pull? As I remember from your story your position was given to someone else in line - contrary to what happened to RJ. Fly there, sit all weekend - pay for hotel rooms, double cab fee so RJ wouldn't be "Late" (remember a professional rule). You talk about Travis' statistics, you should get yours straight. No one took RJ's spot nor Dave Patten's spot in that weight class. Do you know Karen did not receive my paperwork and deposit as you are stating? Because I sure and the hell do not know that. I never got back any mail or cancelled check. As far as the team standing up for RJ, you say why because you didn't get to pull the Arnold's. If you would have flew to ANY tournament with Nikki and two friends or family members and couldn't pull, I would have stood up for you!
2. Chris Colleti - I don't know who you are personally but I am glad to here that RJ's deposit has been the talk for a year. Maybe alot of people wouldn't get a reminder but alot of people would. Mr. Colleti it is not the point of receiving a reminder but the mere fact of respect for the people that keep money in your (Karen, Frank - AAA) pockets. Not only did we have dinner with Karen, Frank, Mike S. Dave P., etc. in Florida's qualifier 3 weeks prior (another expense, flights, hotel, etc.) but Karen and Frank had the opportunity to have dinner with Bessie and Sevan that have been filming a documentary which features RJ, Travis, John, Marcio, etc. (you know the list of greats). The dinner interview was conducted on the best matches for the following day to highlight this great documentary. RJ and Craig's "supposed to be match" the following day was discussed nauseously. Not one time out of courtersy or respect did Karen nor Frank simply say "RJ did not turn in his paperwork. He's not pulling tomorrow." That my fellow armwrestler, would have allowed our friends to call us at home and we could have faxed paperwork, Western Unioned money, anything but get on a f...ing plane with four three family members and go sit in Atlanta for an entire weekend. But as I believe, everything happens for a reason. And on a side note, after it was all said and done, don't you think it not extremely exciting for the movie with all that drama instead of just getting on a table and breaking some arms. You decide when you see the documentary. Mr. Colleti you should open your eyes before judging RJ.
3. Olin, you said Karen gave RJ the opportunity to "show a cancelled check and she would let him pull." Who in the hell told you that. Karen would not even speak to RJ besides screaming "Your are not pulling" "You didn't turn in your paperwork". RJ got down on one knee in the front of an entire room of armwrestlers and asked Frank after Karen rudely walked away from him "to let us do anything we could to resolve this so I can pull." Frank just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do. On a side note, Olin do you believe every team member on Team Louisiana is Karen's favorite as people say. Well, I don't know about any other members of Team Louisiana but I do know for a fact by my own ears that you are definitely no a favorite - "Birdy", "Childish". So please watch who you defend, the enemy can disguise themselves in many ways to win a battle. RJ's situation and your situation don't compare in the least bit so quit trying to compare the two. Your misfortune cost you nothing. I will finish this off by saying, Native American culture is on of the rarest and oldest traditional belief models. RJ & I have never become outraged, never attacked the enemy with bare hands, never stopped armwrestling because we turn to a higher power to rectify injustice in our lives. That ritual which is practiced in our house and lives affects those that bring harm to us. The great part of this Native American culture is that through a ritual one will be affected to the degree that they will cease to exist. When I say this I do not mean as in life ending, but they will never be able to do any harm to anyone again in a similar situation. If you don't believe in the power look at the record of AAA since that SOS the RJ could not pull. And Olin, as far as your comment WOW about my son, your facts are definitely not together and I thought you knew my son better than that because he we at home. He did not come to SOS.
4. Mr. Colleti, to your added two-cents that you feel free to talk about RJ, I will reply by saying a professional organization as USA Unified does send a receipt. I am sorry that you are also one of the unfortunate people that cannot leave your group in search of better business. I will say againg, AAA claimed they never received anything and I never received any return mail or cancelled check. Beside that point, a simple courtesy, respect to tell Bessie and Sevan at their dinner meeting would have been great. But all-in-all it didn't happen and Craig unfortunately did not get to compete with the best armwrestlers to truly call the tournament a success for the true Show of Strength.
5. Olin, I take strong offense to your out spoken thoughts about RJ the more I read this message board. For one thing, you want people to "raise hell" for you not competing at the Arnold's - maybe alot of people would have done just that if you would have actually flew to compete in the event, but you were told before hand. Secondly, did you ever know RJ to negatively or outrageously confront anyone. It is not his character. No he is not Travis. When Travis and several others weighed in late at this rule following, professional event nothing was said. Do you know why? I do, because Travis would have tore up the entire room and painted the walls with Karen that's why. So keep your "rules are rules" for excuses. With that being said, I cannot scan my check that I never received back. Maybe someone's shredder can help me. I also do not think RJ ever made Travis, Simon and many others look like Morons, but I think you definitely accomplished that for yourself. On a side note, my phone, electric and gas send me a disconnect notice if I don't pay - that's a professional run company though. Penalized!, we could have been glad to be penalized after flying 4 people to Atlanta.
6. Finally after writing this novel, I wish to send our appreciation to Travis and Simon for being our voice and ears while we are away from our computer. RJ does not go on the internet and I will ocassionally read the message board to keep abreast of happenings. This time when I entered I was pretty shocked. I would also have to agree with Travis, I think Olin is about only 2 posts away from getting kicked off. Because I sure hope this Team Louisiana isn't all feeling the same as Olin and if not why would they tolerate him representing them in that ways. I was truly shocked because I though Olin was a friend. Friends like that you don't need any enemies. I think I wrote enough - Goodbye.
P.S. Simon, I think I am the only person to out write you in 1 session and then maybe not.
