You guys should have an awesome time there....make sure you post lots of pictures and keep us updated on the results. Thanks Vern, Is there a list of Canadians I can find to see who is attending?? I am most curious about Crazy George as I would like another opportunity to figure a way around his style. I am a much better armwrestler this year with another year of experience. The trip and the level of competition has me quite nervous right now but I hope that goes away as the moment nears. It appears that there are only 21 Americans competeing in 45 classes. I am physically as prepared as I can be except for the healing week. NO REGRETS If any 80k beats me they deserve it!!

Hey there Ron .... You have one less person to worry about ... George is not going As far as as who is going from Canada ... there is a complete list on the Canadian message board under the heading of "Team Canada in South Africa". Like the USA Team .... Canada will not be represented in a few classes as well. With the cost of the trip it stopped a few people from going also .... a number of Canadian's are getting ready to attend the Arnold's. Once again... good luck over there!

Yes we get into LaGaurdia at 3:40pm and then have to transfer to JFK for the 5:55 flight. We have a short stop in Johannesburg then get into Durban at 7:05pm Saturday.

HI Engin howz it goin champ? hope the fingers are getting something like good,i dont understand something in your last post you said we are not even step children to them? i personally think this is a massive blow to armwrestling in genaral as the turkish team is always full of great opponants.will you still be attending? i hope to see you there my friend, and as far as you pulling for another country i should imagine countrys will be lining up to take you onboard. your mate paul pulling out of the FREAK SHOP england

Paul, we supposed to be step children in our country because we are athletes of a non oliympic sport.if i attend to the worlds without their permit i will have a great trouble in here.im sure some of my opponents will be praising them for this desicion.i probably will leave my country soon to live in some other country.im tired of fighting for our sport in our country.i may quit armwrestling for sometime.

Engin ... come to Canada ;D More so British Columbia!
It would be great to have someone like you to train with here ..... I know the rest of the 70kg guys would hate that!
Really though ... I hope things work out for you in your Country and they stand behind the sport. You are a great ambassador for you Country already and it would be a shame if they let you slip thru their finger's.
Your attendance at the World's in South Africa will truly be missed if you are not there. I hope that this dicision will change.

Vern, once again i thank you very much for your support to myself.i really need it right now.soon i will need to make a desicion for what to do next in my life.i may go to US or Canadian immigration with a lawyer to be an immigrant.here we have some ppl who are using armwrestling as a business and they have been trying to eliminate the guys that doesnt serve them,as myself,Dursun,Niyazi,Ozgur,Gokhan,Tuncay and Haydar.these names are the ones that have been serving armwrestling for a long time.except Dursun all of them are world champions, the only world Champions of Turkey.those evil ppl that i mentioned are in the tecnical comitee we must give them some share that government pays us,if we wanna be part of the team.can you believe that i hardly was accepted to be part of the team for this year's europeans in Poland?i won worlds with both hands and also won the nationals with both hands right before the europeans but they didnt want me to be in the team!!! why?because they dont want somebody like me that speaks up against them.many of you that knows me,knows that i do everything for our team.i am trainer,i represant my team in the congresses,i do registrations,i do translations,i go get visas,i do bring invitations,im the team captain,i trained 3 guys that became world champions.so im too dangerous to stand on their way.all the members of our national team will be explaining the problems and the reasons to the media in Turkey.im planning to sell all my medals front of the Turkish prime minister's home just to protest this sh.t. why can we not armwrestle when we are training hard to represant our Flag at the world level with it's honour?even if i try to go there with my own money i will be punished.why?because of a possible world championship winning with my flag?Willy, the general secretary of the WAF called our sports ministry and explained to them that Turkish armwrestling team s a good represantative for Turkish republic and ask them to send a team to the worlds.and some of you may wonder the result??? just because i gave him the phone numbers and get in volved to this problem now they are planning to send me discipline court of the sports.i dont care,i prefer living brave and pay the price.
Bill,i thank you very very much for your invitation.i will fight to the end and do everything i can to not to be loser in the matter that we are right.then if i lose,i will leave my home with tears and forever.
