I could probably come up after work but it would be much later, like 6pm. Would you guys still be pulling?

James, how many days a week do you pull? Anyone else can jump in. I usually do only once, but Im thinking of cutting back the weightlifting to pull more....any advice?

Vic, no big deal my friend. Heck I was nursing a migraine for two days. It finally went away this morning. I trained as hard as I could last night considering the circumstance and Ralph got his work in so it was cool. Kurt, I am sorry, I sort of misunderstood Eric's post to Rob about practice in the other thread. I thought it was going to be an all day, all night sort of thing. My bad. Jim, I train twice a week at armwrestling and do armwrestling specific exercised three days a week and then stop when either Duke, Guy, or Pete tell me "enough is enough, you're overtraining."

so the days you pull are not the days you do the armwrestling workouts? That is like 5 days a week you are doing something then. Man, I couldnt lift at all. I hate to give it up all the way, but I have to choose, I cannot lift hard and pull hard, I always end up hurt. wow, 5 days a week. you freak you!

George Givens told me about 5 years ago that I would have to live this sport if I was ever going to be any good at it. I think that is when I started to train harder. I had a big setback last year and had to have throat surgery (Went down to 147 pounds three weeks before worlds in Ottawa and then ate everything in sight once my throat healed). Still do Then in this past year I became obsessive.

wow, thanks duke. I have seen him on Arm-TV, and see he has fire. I was so thin when I started lifting it is hard to give up lifting and go backwards. The old never big enough thing. BUT, I am too small boned to be good at a heavy weight, so its either be a so-so armwrestler, or lose some muscle and maybe get better. God I hated being skinny:) Big guys like Duke kicking sand in my face like in comic books:) But like you say, you have to live it. I always lifted hard, and pulled hard, and ended up with nerve damage and bad tendons.
