After giving it some more thought and listening to people, I think we should use the weight classes people pull in mostly. And some like Travis thinks it should only be 3 classes, that is the other extreme.
I definately feel it shpuldnt be 200 and over.
I think the best rankings could fall in here after all most Nevada tournaments run these classes too
154 -- 176-- 198- 242 and supers
what do you think Engin and everyone?

Hey Guy
I like those classes. Here in Alberta we where using simular classes to the ones you are proposing, however they where not accepted so we are now trying to use the three classes that you mentioned Travis B is promoting. That is how it goes sometimes.
These 3 classes are to be mirrored Right and Left and are minimum classes to be offered at a local event. We would hope that the promoter add more but we want them to stick to the same ones offered at the Nationals for a standard. That way we get a minimum commitment and allow the flexability to add other preferred classes meanwhile maintaining some kind of standards to be consistent.
Another value to standardized classes is that a budget for an event could be easily determined when discussing the issue with a promoter and they can decide what kind of event they might want to host. You can have a Small 3 mens class event Medium 5 mens classes event with the ones you proposed and of course a full blown event like the Nationals. It all depends on your budget.
For big money it might make sense to have fewer classes therefore more prize money per weight class.
This is some of my thoughts on this very important topic.
Bye the way, I voted yes just to disagree with James R to get his fur up. He is a toughguy on the net.
James, just kidding of course. ;D
Cheers
Aaron
P.S. James how are those lyrics going? I thought I might have heard from you do you remember "50 ways to use your lever"

Thank you very much Engin ;D It;s nice to be recognized and respected by todays champions too. You also told me earlier this year that If I want it bad enough I can do it again, and I think of those words. I plan to lose weight this year and compete in Open class at "A level Hopefully 90 kg, but I will have a ways to go. Im a stress type eater. I find comfort in food. Lots of steady discipline needed

Guy: Yes, I am howling mad. ;D Aaron: I started some lyrics for the song, they were funny, but they were all just making fun of Dan Fortuna and had not too much to do with armwrestling. I have to hear the tune again to get a good idea of how to change them up. Even hecklers run into trouble with writers' block. Who knew?

i didnt really check your weight in old magazines but you look huge on the pic by the article.what was your weight?about being a level, come on you have proved that 20 years ago and you have nothing to prove.but im sure you still can do the same and no matter what result you will get,it will be respected twice more than 20 years ago you had.
