Did anyone see the match with Boomer and Devin Bair? I watched the video several times. Devin walked away from the match. Why did they restart in the straps with no fouls called? Anyone have any input on this? Regardless of the outcome, I have no disrespect to Devin. He is an excellent puller as well as a person. I just don't understand how that could happen without any foul called.

I only saw it from a distance, but I was standing with Devin when somebody asked him about the match.
Devin felt as though he was just barely holding on to the tips of Boomers fingers, and he did not want to keep cranking on them, so by simply letting up a bit in his pressure they came apart, then he turned to go and get chalk.
It must have really looked odd up close because I heard several people ask Devin about it.

I saw Boomer giving him a struggle but must have gotten distracted. I didn't know there was any controversy until afterwards, when Boomer was talking about it to me in the lobby.

I actually watched that whole match and it is exactly how Simon described it. I had thought they just seperated slowly to avoid any excess strain on their arms. I know, because I too pull in the position Boomer was pulling in and slipping is one thing you try not to do from there.
Hats off to Boomer for having one hell of a match with Devin. I had a chance to grip up with both of them, and let me say, Boomer is going to be something to watch in the coming years. Being a father myself, Willie you have to be one of the proudest!!!
And not to forget, but Devin is already a force and will one day be one the the best ever!!!!
Way to go Boomer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That does make sense. I didn't get a chance to speak with Devin about the match. I don't have any problem at all with the match, I was just curious if there was a better explanation. I am glad that Boomer got a chance to pull him. Devin is awesome! Boomer will have his day soon!! Thanx Pete for the kind words.
