Now that we have a 154lb class going lets get a 165lb class going as well. It's always fun to see "Who is Who" in the sport of armwrestling. Let the fun begin

I'd say King James if he'd eat skinless chicken, salad and 120 oz of water each day.. ( Sunday 8oz icecream treat )

There is already a set of this weight on the Pulling John website that is done monthly, and that has been part of the argument, who should be in this class?

Well as I have said already too many times probably, Chad said he can make 165, James Smith I think could make it, George I could certainly make it if he made 171, he would just have to give up some of that belly he is so proud of....... Certainly Craig T could make it, I don't think Chandler can make this weight any more, he is a young and growing boy can't fault him for this, Matt Harris can make it, Mike McGraw, Allen Fisher, Roger Nowatzke, Anthony Dall’Antonia, Jacques Aubin, Vern Martel, Bryon Thomas, Karl Wiggins, Jason Dubray……… Harold you know you are getting to big for this class.

One word, COBRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by enginterzi on Dec 17, 2004 7:05:06 GMT -5
of course Cobra, even if he can be 70%percent of his best he still can be the best in US.but for the worlds he needs to be 90-95% of his best shape.i so much miss watching him live at the table.no one ever looked better than him at the table.if he makes a come back we will have much more excitement.
my 165 list would be, 1.Craig Tullier 2.Chad Silvers 3.Allen Fischer 4.Bryan Thomas 5.Vern Martel
i placed Craig higher than Silvers.it will take some from Silvers to go down to that weight but ýt would not be too hard for Craig.i didnt place Lucas because we dont know how he will perform after his injury.George is out of my list as always.Thomas is a very strong guy to deserve to be in top 5 even in 165.Allen Fischer again showed in Nevada that he is one of the best.and Vern deserves to be in my list for his dominations in 70kg category.

Engin I sometimes question myself if I will ever perform like I used to. I just don't feel like I have that strong handed clinch anymore. I feel like my hand opens up easier than it should or ever has before. I hope to soon be back on top of my game. I'm training harder now than ever before, because I miss that taste of winning. I'm craving it like a hungry child staring at a t-bone steak. In the middle of my training sessions I get so mad at myself because of my weakness, sometimes I will try and do an extra static hold or a few more reps to try and boost my confidence back up. Usually I just get so frustrated that I either rip my hair or jack myself in the face. Oh well we'll see what happens in the next few months. Later, Olin

Olin, i know the things that you can do.i have seen you suprising many by upsetting the great names of the sport.i felt the same way when i was injured.Cobra probably feels same way but im sure that he will asses again.this s why we friends are here, just dont push your body more than it needs.because you fell down from the tenth floor and you are trying to jump up to tenth floor again which is impossible.if you go up step by step this will be better and realistic for you.and you will reach your goal sooner.listen to your body,it will guide you to your goal.i have faith in you that you will do much better than you did in the past.just dont let your emotions to control your mind.

I think I should be considered in that group of 165 LBers
Either that or the pasture. Wait until you are 50 My mind tells me I can do it , My body and energy, and drive has continued to fail me recently.
There's still points in the worlds for Masters and grand masters LOL and we will need them next year.
P.S I would be in the 220 or 198 ;D
