WHEN TRAVIS, CHRIS MYERS, RON BATH, CHAD SILVERS WENT TO ZLOTY TOUR IN POLAND, I TOOK THIS GUY NICK TO MEET WITH ALL OF THESE SUPERSTARS OF ARMWRESTLING AT NEWARK AIRPORT....

I HAVE NOT SPOKEN TO NICK SINCE THAT TIME !!!

I HAVE CALLED HIM 3 TIMES TO TRY AND GET MIKE SELEARIS'S TABLE BACK, BECAUSE MIKE HAD LEFT IT WITH HIM WHEN THEY SHOT A COMMERCIAL....

I HATE TO ADMIT IT, BUT IT SEEMS TO ME THAT WHAT JAMES RETARIDES AND THE HATER WERE SAYING AND WERE THINKING, THAT THIS GUY NICK IS A FRAUD, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT IS MORE THAN LIKELY TO BE A REALITY...

NICK HAS NOBODY YET THAT HAS SIGNED UP, AND HE IS CONTINUOUSLY ASKING FOR MONEY UP FRONT...

SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT, AND I TOLD HIM SO ON A FEW OCCASIONS...

I AM BEGININIG TO FEEL MORE AND MORE SKEPTICAL LIKE OTHERS THAT WERE SKEPTICAL ABOUT THIS EVENT...

NICK CARA ASKED IF I EVER HEARD THAT HE TOOK MONEY AND DID NOT RETURN IT TO WHOEVER SENT IT TO HIM...WHICH WOULD MAKE HIM A FRAUD

I TOLD HIM NO, THAT IS NOT WHY HE SEEMS TO BE A FRAUD...

A FEW ARMWRESTLING BUDDIES HAVE ASKED ME RECENTLY ABOUT THE PRO-GLADIATOR ARMWRESTLING EVENT AND WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN, IF IT WILL HAPPEN AT ALL ....

SINCE THEY ALL KNOW THAT I MADE EVERYONE AWARE ON THE NORTHEAST BOARD ABOUT THE LIKELYHOOD OF THIS EVENT COMING TO FRUITION SOMETIME IN OCTOBER, THEY THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE SOME INFO...

BUT REGRETFULLY I DID NOT HAVE ANY INFO UNTILL TONIGHT....

LIKE I SAID I SPOKE TO NICK FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR....

NICK CLAIMS THAT THE EVENT WILL GO ON, ON THE 29TH OF JANUARY, WITH ALL THE CASH PRIZES AS ADVERTISED...

NICK SAYS HE WAS BUSY TRAVELING TO PROMOTE THE EVENT, THAT'S WHY HE HAS NOT CALLED ME BACK...


NICK HAS BEEN VERY UNAPPRECIATIVE OF MY HELP, AND HOW I INTRODUCED HIM TO EVERYONE THAT MATTERS IN THE ARMWRESTLING COMMUNITY....

BUT YOU SHOULD ALL MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO ATTEND THIS EVENT IF YOU BELIEVE THAT IT WILL HAPPEN...

Hey Amedeo,

Putting your name on the line for someone that has no creditability "yet" is a risk, which only a few people will take. You did go too bat for Nick and he should be grateful, appreciated and overwhelmed that you’re the only one that believed in him.

I’m kind of confused why Nick hasn’t tried posting or promoting in the armwrestling circle. If we do the math 50 events X 8500 per event=HUGE$$ 425,000 not including the final prize

Now as for my previous posting I stated,

50 events in 8 months-I told him with the help of every armwrestling promoter in United State and with out pre-planed logistics, this is a huge venue to fill. Promoting an event one month before the championship and not having locations and dates, is not the optimum approach of getting the best of the best, especially with a 275.00 entry fee.

He told me, he has two people on his staff! Two events per week and only two helping out, humm! If anybody has ever put on an event, you know that you just can’t walk into a public place, throw down a table and start armwrestling “logistic is everything”.

If he pulls this off it will be the high light of armwrestling, I’m still big time skeptical of his objectives, as I told him, I can cover California and Nevada as part of the promotions. He was very pleased with the pro-active offer and said his staff would contact me.

MAYBE SINCE YOU ARE A PROMOTER YOURSELF YOU COULD PUT SOME SENSE INTO THIS MAN, AND STOP HIM FROM TALKING SO MUCH NONSENSE, WHICH ONLY HARMS THE EVENT, BECAUSE ALL THE ARMWRESTLERS WOULD REALIZE THAT HE IS ON CLOUD NINE AND DREAMING ABOUT WHAT HE WANTS TO PULL OFF....

Perhaps you feel used. I have Been there, done that a few times. No worries, keep your head up.

I too was skeptical and called Nick to hear it for myself. I do not know anything, for sure. I wanted to report what I heard from Nick for everone elses benefit of that information so they can decide what they want to do.

If he is willing to make the effort and others are willing to participate. Why not. Also it would not take to much for the entries to add up to cover the costs providing enough folks show at 275.00 But it still seems unlikely that it would be a money making proposal.

On the other hand, it seems once in every 1 1/2 years there is somebody new comes into arm wrestling that is going to give arm wrestlers big rewards, or to the next level, though in the end nothing significant materailizes.

Aslo, If arm wrestling turns to being "sport entertainment" will we like what it might be come. I guess time will tell.

first, Nick has no clue what you did to try and give his event credibilty, the effort you went to with no perspective to gain except for excitement in our sport

second, most of the board members did not correctly pick up on your intentions and linked you to this event when all you were trying to do was spread the word about what you heard and where hopefull for

that is the part of message baords that does suck people can not hear your voice ... tone ...inflection

I have emailed Nick a few days ago in an attempt to get him registered on the board, so that he can respond to these questions himself.

I have not hear back from him yet...

My biggest question is how in the world was he able to nail down these huge sponsors, without any history in the sport of armwrestling? Those of us who HAVE organized tourneys know how hard it is to line up even the smallest sponsors...

Does anyone know if Nick is STILL wrestling? And If so, does he go by the name of The Gladiator? Because if he is will he be at Lehmann College, either wrestling under the name The Gladiator, or running the event, or at Racks Hall in Astoria at the Armwrestling Tournament?

8-)I talked to Nick and the fellow from Michigan who is working on the armwrestling part. Nick said they were going to change the entrance fee to 100.00. As for sponsors he run big wrestling and concert events. He told me that he would send me a copy of the rules for the events and that the next one would be in NJ. As soon as I hear more I will post it. I still am not convinced that he will pull this off, but I am waiting to see what happens. I hope that it happens, it will be a big boost for armwrestling.

KURT, I THINK HE GETS HIS SPONSORS BY CLAIMING HE IS PRO-WRESTLER AND WITH THE LOOK THAT HE HAS, AND HE TALKS THAT HE KNOWS ALL THE HIGH PROFILE WRESTLERS, LIKE HULK HOGAN, KING KONG BUNDY, AND OTHER NAMES HE THROWS AROUND, THEN HE SHOWS HIS PROMOTERS LICENSE, AND I GUESS PEOPLE BUY INTO HIS LINES....
