Hye guys! We at the Milton Keynes Armwrestling Federation have just officially ended our first year as a club with a MEGA competition and award ceremony! Our guys are all new to the sport been in it for just a few months now and they were AWSOME!
THIS IS THE FUTURE GUYS!!!
I believe that we all need proper clubs with set training times and proper technical training and advice and I believe that we need "internal" competitions throughout the year. To develop competition confidence. This is an individual sport but it will only grow through teams and clubs. This is just my belief.
What do you guys think about clubs and internal competitions?
How do you guys let people know about armwrestling and how do you get them involved?

HI Matt,
You're right : Team feeling is very important thing !
We will organise in Switerzland in Mid 2005 a competition called TEAM FIGHT.
In this case, your individual result are important, not for you but for the team. It is a great concept and I hope that we have a lot of club participating.

Matt, Sounds good. Well done.
Would your team like some contests against our team in Stafford?
We could make it down to you, or/and you can make it here?

Matt, you're exactly right! As we saw from Wednesday night and from the growth of our team over the past year, this is a succesful way of doing it! As well as internal, club level competitions i also believe traveling to comps together as a team and wearing a team teashirt and stuff like that develops team unity and helps develops long lasting frienships which is an important element of armwrestling! David we would love to have a team competition with your guys! They used to do that sort of thing in the UK a long tome ago i think. Please send me a contact number or an e-mail address. Also check out our website www.mkarmwrestling.co.uk

Catherine, that is an excellent idea...we might have to use that 1!
Hey Dave, Steve Kirlew is the club Chairman so all events would be organised between yourself and Steve Kirlew.
I also believe we need to spend a lot of time introducing juniors to the sport. Hold little comps in schools during lunch times if possible or advertise in the local paper and mention that men and women OF ALL AGES should come! Kepps them out of trouble and makes them backside whoopers of the future!
