If I wasn't a ref, I'd be going nuts because I enjoy the ups & downs of competing. As a ref, or a promoter, you don't get the same "highs"!!

When are the amounts going to be announced for the matches out of curiousity? I need to know how many gunmen to bring to the robbery ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

No amounts are going to be announced, unless the people involved tell you themselves.

So its just between them? not even at the tournament?
Any particular reason? usually things like these are big and in bold on banners 10K match 15k match, bla bla

I never said that JD, its amazing how someone can misconstrute a statement completely ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) . There are some great match ups there I would like to see. I just had a question about that cause I noticed it was not announced and its something that usually is.

Sorry, just seemed like to me you were stating you wanted to see the figures on the banners so it would be some sort of attraction.
My point wasn't directed at you as much as your thoughts made me realize that in this case, just getting all those names under one roof, was more than enough information to gather a crowd. I just think it is extremely sad to realize how little the country knows about armwrestling and little exposure armwrestling has. If you got the same equivalancy of names in relation to any other sport, BIG name sponsors would be knocking Pete's door down just to be a part of it. Just think how much coverage and who would sponsor a 20 minute long drive contest between John Daily and Vijay Singh, and thats not to mention if Tiger got involved. I know that I am not the only one who hates that fact. I think its almost depressing to know that a big money event in armwrestling is less than some benchwarmers in other sports make per game.

I dunno, I wonder if something is wrong with us here or how we promote armwrestling...they seem to be doing a better job in Europe, sponsers, athletes well known, etc...

hmm i just heard an opinion from my coach as to why this sport is not as big as others and why it stays as a small community like it is today.
he says...
Armwrestling is one of the most elite non team sport in the world. the only other sport that is a single person and more elite is boxing. all other sports have their elitism in it but in sports such as tennis you have well over 10,000 great players in the whole world the compete at the pro level. But in armwrestling there are less then a thousand elite armwrestlers and all in seperate catagories. this leads to less spectators and less sponsors and less people wanting to train and etc...
he said alot more i just cant type it all...because once he starts talking he speaks his mind about it and leaves no area untouched...but it is a very good point that there are more elite players in other sports then in this one.

dimitry: So posting whether how much these "Challenge" matches, and "Super" matches are for would be good promoting like in Europe?.....I have never seen PAL or IPAA post how much their matches are for?..Have you?...If so, I must have missed it....
Sponsors we have! Well known Atletes? Um. I think we have them too...Unless you can't read!!!!!!!!..
BTW: How is the IPAA doing lately? And how are those "well known ATLETES" doing in PAL lately too?
