Mike Bonelli - only east coast seasoned pullers will know the finger strength (on armwrestling finger covered angles) of this welder who used to pull 2-3 decades ago Here is sort of a funny story I met Mike Bonelli ( Nice guy) in late 1978 . He came to the Springfield MA Civic center tournament. We pulled 2-3 x , he may have beaten me the first match But not the last two. See I and everyone else in the North Pulled straight across, shoulder rolled or hooked. They said Ready Go I went across and than felt the weirdest thing ever happen to my hand and arm and it went over the other way . I was Top rolled. Funny because we , I mean no one here knew what the hell that was. It felt weird . Each time Id drive straight and I would get dropped to one inch from the Pad. IF it wasnt in my Home town i could have never won and came back. I gutted each match out and back up and on what seemed like 2 minutes each Later Mike was on the pay Phone and i could here yelling coming through in a southern drawl. spitting swearing Mike gets off the phone and says That was Steve Stanaway and he said you Big *&^%$$ you cant get him all the over twice like that and lose , whats wrong with you etc.... Never forgot that day and my first experience with a toproll . In fact No one in the North ever felt or heard of it. But we learned quick I think Viars from GA invented it. I always thought that and about 6 years ago i was talking to Burt Whitfield and he said yes it was rick Viars and told me the story

Question; Who has the strongest finger tip pressure in Armwrestling, meaning from the middle knuckle out to the tips Since your are talking about TIPS. I'll through my name in there. ;D I have always broken the hand strength down into three parts. Wrist Palm (Hand) Fingers Quite frankly John B, Bill B, and Kevin Bongard DON'T have great Finger tip pressure. They have great Palm and Wrist. We used to play a game were we both hold one side of a piece of wood or a book and then try to pull it out of each others fingers. They are not very good.

more i use my fingers flat more i feel pressure in my hand. i meant that more i feel pressure under my control. I find this route very effectiver as well,. I find it harder to get new people to try this type of pressure out though....
