Hi Elaine,

We had a great day!! Very long!! We had over 100 kids enter....it was crazy....plus we did a dance competition for them and just an FYI for anyone doing kids tournaments...they love to dance!! Matt Girdner judged the dancing

The director here for the Boys and Girls Club which serves over 1300 kids just in Weld County is now going to put us on their weekly roster instead of dodgeball...I thought that was a huge step and really awesome...plus they are going to set up challenges througout the state between clubs. I have a meeting next week, I will let you know what happens.

Don't you have a tournament coming up...let me know!

Great kids tourney Brandy. Keep them coming. It was worth the drive. I think the kids were pullng for 4 hours. Austin Hanel, 2nd place kids 0-4 years old. Got some great video's of his matches. I had to wake him up for one match and he wobbled up to the table half asleep, it was really funny.
Men's open class, Chris Chandler was to much for me. Great pulling Chris. Arm TV was in the house, thanks Gary Roberts!

Wow! Brandy! That's great! Kids are so much fun to watch armwrestle! I think you're going to have your hands full as well as your tournament schedule now! So cool!

I feel very blessed about working with the Boys and Girls Club, I think it will really be something big!! Below is a copy of an e-mail I recieved today from the Director of the Club here in Greeley:




Brandy,


Thanks. You were very busy with all of your duties on Saturday so I didn’t talk to you before I left. I thought the event was outstanding. We didn’t get the numbers we thought we would but from what I heard this was probably your largest number of kid participation. I had to leave from about 1:45 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. and figured I would miss the finals. When I returned, I was presently surprised to see I hadn’t.



The kids performed well. The supervisors kept things under control for a long day. I received a lot of positive feedback from others regarding the Clubs participation. Something I think we can plan on for next year! There might be some “national” interest from Boys & Girls Clubs of America worth pursuing if you are interested.

When Gary Roberts has the DVD or website updated to reflect the event, I can forward such to the appropriate people to see if there is wider interest than just Greeley, Colorado.



You and Russ form a great team and the people that help you complement you well. You all took the time with the kids to explain and educate them which was appreciated. I know David expressed interest to Russ (I believe) about doing something further at the Painter Unit.
