I didn't know if I should wake an old thread up or start a new one.... I just wanted to say that I understand even more why everyone on this board have such great respect for you.
You wrote this:

I don't believe in God, and get frustrated when people can't accept that. I respect other people's beliefs and would like the same respect back.
I wish everybody could show respect like you do about other people's beliefs.
You also wrote this:
"I just sincerely feel that agressive preaching turns people off to God and I hate when people get turned off to God."
That is exactly what happened to me.
My intention wasn't to start another thread with fights... so please don't start arguing about this.

Charlie,
Thanks....I do personally beleive in God very strongly but I have some unconventional ideas about theology also . I like when people are tolerant of me and I feel no man should ask for what he does not give. I am sorry that you do not beleive in God but I will respect it and leave it alone. If you ever want my views ask and I will share and if you dont ask I wont bother you with it. I am fascinated by religions and there differences but more importantly their similiarities. If 25 out 30 different religions say killing is bad then for me it is academic. that is just a little example.....anyway I dont want to start talking religion I just want to say thanks for your compliment and you will always have my respect to have your own free will to choose you beleifs.
I just want to say as a parting thought. I do feel I SHOULD be tolerant. because that is what I THINK ( not know )God WANTS me to be, not because I agree with everybody and am unsure of what I beleive, or just want to be everybody's friend. there are plenty of times I want to smack somebody for saying what I dont like but I dont have that right ...neither does anybody else

I just want to say this........I know people think i am an intolerant disrespectful insensitive aggressive preacher.
For no reason was i going to discuss Charlie's veiws on his faith unless he came to me with it. I am not here bashing your beliefs you have the right to believe it. I respect you for your right to believe what you want as i respected Simon. Simon (and others to remain nameless) came to me with his questions and comments i didnt provoke him. He did it willingly. And i enjoyed our discussion.

i also respect your point of veiw to be tolerant, though people may not believe me i am a very tolerant person.
I will respect you for who you are, but dont think im going to go along with it. Dont think i wont speak my mind when you provoke me.
I wish you people didn hate me. But im not going to deny my God for you to like me.
I know i know you gonna say your not denying God by being tolerant and respectful. But sometimes you are.
There things that we should do and things we shouldnt do. Its not about all that but anyway.
Just letting you guys and everyone i do respect your veiws. Please respect mine. I know you cant but im going to ask that anyway.
