I was actualy listening to a debate today with Robert Morey and Shabir Ally. I havent got all the way through it yet. Both are putting up arguement. but from what i gather on Ally's part correct me if I am wrong, I may very well be this is just an assumption. did Muhhamad or did he not (since he was rasied in a society that worshiped the moon god) did he or did he not tell people that "God" the god that they worshiped was not just the greatest god but the only god. From what i gather in Ally's side of the debate this is what you believe that it was more like Muhhamad may have been trying to correct/reform/revolt the religoin in which he was raised. And declared that it is the same god of the jews and christians. Is this true? Like i said im not sure, Im trying to understand where the misunderstanding comes from. To clarify Jews and Christians do not worship the same god of Islam. Islam if im not mistaken relys on ones balance to out weigh the evil with good. Where both Christian and Jew rely on God to provide a sacrifice for man. Christians are in a since reformed Jews, I agree with this. Christians believe there is no way to get to the father except by the son. Islam denys God has a son, these are different Gods. Where do you get the symbol of the cresent moon in Islam if not the origin of the moon god? These are not attacks on your faith these are questions i have. If you would be so kind as to let us bring this back to a civilized conversation. Or lets drop it all together.
