My dad got a DVD depicting the history of the Boston Celtics. The DVD is awesome. Man Larry Bird, Spud Web, Magic Johnson (I know some of the guys here are not from the Celtics, the video also told about the great names that the Celtics had to play against), all these guys had moves that would put current basketball players to shame. Also he got a DVD that is solely about Larry Bird. It's a 7hr 21min DVD of Bird. It is incredible.
We are going to be getting the Yankee Collection of Vintage DVD's that are about Ruth, Mantle, Yogi Bera, Goose Gosage, and many others.
God I love DVD technology. It's AWESOME (probably one of the reasons I'm studying Computers here. Point being anyone that has videos about the past of sports please do tell. Vintage sports is the greatest legacy for our children that I see. I mean between everthing that has gone wrong in our world, sports competition is a great landmark of there being good in our society. That's why I hate it when people say they love seeing fights in Hockey. That's not what sports are for. That's what Boxing and UFC (totally awesome) is for.
Oh, by the way, we also plan on getting the collections for Hockey legends (we have a video cassett on it, but we are waiting for a DVD on it), also a DVD on Earl Anthony (the bowler that I'm named after because my dad's big in bowling, 4 perfect games, an 804 three series and countless bowling trophies and rings), Anything on Football that we can get our hands on, and a DVD on Michael Jordan
