This movie I saw for the first time the other night, little did I know when I turned it on that the leading character was none other than Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee. When I had seen previews for this movie it looked more like a horror movie than a comic book movie about an undead hero. And when it comes to horror films, I prefer to track down the book first, but the other night, when I saw the previews, it didn't look so much like a horror movie after all.
I ended up watching it, and I wasn't dissapointed. The movie was fantastic. But it wasn't till last night when I looked up the movie: the crow till I was able to make the connection between Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee. Also I found out that during the production of this movie Brandon was killed in a misterious fashion, like his father.
Does anyone around here know anything about the demises of both Bruce, and Brandon Lee?

After Bruce injured his back (this was from weight-lifting, not from a fight like in the movie about his life) he was on a tremendous amount of pain killers. While not official, I've read he died from a massive brain hemorage. There are a ton of stories that he was assinated by the Chinese for teacing non-chinese the martial arts, but that's nothing outside speculation. His death remains a mystery but sadly enough what seems to be is that he most likely died due to a drug overdose.
Brandon Lee was accidently shot while filming The Crow, from what I know it was a plastic cap that hit him from close range. Some people speculate that he was also assinated, but I can't reall think of a reason why. Brandon hated being in his father's shadow.
A few things most people don't know about Bruce or misconceptions:
He began acting as a young child.
He did not live in poverty, his family was very well off.
He began learning Wing Chun at around 12 after he was mugged.
He had myopia and his left leg was an inch shorter than his right (hense he used it to pivot)
He taught Kareem Abdul-Jabarr and Chuck Norris, both of which appeared in movies with him. He was also friend with Muhammad Ali.
His back was injured from doing "Good-Mornings" (Stiff Legged Dead-Lifts with the bar behind your neck).
He studied Zen and Taosim.

It was said on the brandon lee story that by accident someone loaded real bullets in the gun on the set "BY ACCIDENT" The wax load fired from blanks killed another actor in the making of twilight zone the movie.

Tony,
He was killed in the scene when he was standing on the talble with everyone shooting him.
It makes it kind of weird to watch after you know he was really killed during filming.
Just for the record I don't think Bruce Lee is dead, he is hanging with elvis waiting for the economy to improve

My middle name is Lee my dad wanted to name me bruce lee but my mom wouldnt let him.
I studied a few things on bruce lee and his fighting style. Its good stuff. He was very scientific and not so much into the religion of it as many other martial artists were. Though i dont believe he was a christian, I liked his views on not being bound by man made ways to pretty things up.
And his striking methods are good for armwrestling. ;D

Thanks everyone for the insight on Bruce and Brandon Lee's demise.
P.S. My girlfriend always wants me to dress up with her on Halloween to hand out candy. Now what costume should I go for this year, Scorpion (mortal combat), Eric Dravin (The Crow), Gambit (X-MEN), or Alucard (Hellsing).
