Last December my sister passed away at the age of 25. Due to a heart condition, alot of stress in her life, smoking and having two children. Her heart was just too weak.
It was speculated at times before that her daughter, which was being raised by my sister and my mother, not the father, was being molested by the father. But things where shut down on the investigation due to manipulative tactics of the father and my oldest sister (not the mother). So it never went completly through.
So without going into too much detail, The father and his parents have criminal records and molestation history as well in that criminal record. The OCS is now investigating. we are filing for custody. My mother has not been able to have contact with the children since december. Absolutly no reason why except the father doesnt want her to.
At first when my sister died the father was going to let my mother raise them becuase he knew he couldnt and ultimatly didnt want the responsibility. Now becuase of all this my oldest sister has them and my mother cant see them.
SO ANYWAYS,
Today we went to court for custody and/or visitation rights to my niece and nephew. The OCS hasnt made there full evaluation of whether or not my niece was molested by her father. And the courts decided untill they do complete their evaluation there is no reason my mother shouldnt be able to see those kids. So she now has visitation rights and they cant stop her. For the next three weeks. then the OCS should have their evaluation complete to determine whether or not anything happened and the courts will give or not give custody based on their decision. Thank you for your prayers please continue to pray.
The awesome thing about all this is that we can pray for something and sit back and watch God work. We dont have to pray in repeatition. (this is why we dont need beads to keep track of our prayers). becuase by his holiness and righteousness , not our efforts to manipulate him, but by his righteousness he will see to it that justice prevails. Regardless of our efforts (outside of faith in Christ and Him Crucified) to please him and regardless of anyones opinions.
I praise God for the courts decision today this is the first step. We have another court date this month.
