Sapp/Nogueira: Rematch for the ages, I would love to see these two go at it again, this time in the cage. Nog again by decesion, this time not taking as much punishment along the way.
Arlovski/Fujita: Hard puncher verses harder head, this one has potential slug fest written all over it. Giving the nod to Arlovski by late tko.
Barnett/Crocop: Another rematch that I would pay to see. Barnett lost last time by a dislocated shoulder, this time I think he would fair much better. Barnett by 2nd rd sub.
Fedor/Mir: I don't see Mir having the skills to sub Fedor, especially if he became Fedor's punching bag. Fedor by 1st rd KtFo.
Khiritnov/Rizzo: Khiritnov has been nothing but spectacular, with only one loss by dec to Nog. Rizzo is always game but I don't see him going the distance here. Khiritnov by 3rd rd tko.
Herring/Coleman: Texas crazy horse all the way. Coleman is always a threat but his sucess as of late has been non existant.
Rodriguez/Sylvia: Two big punchers, Sylvia being the bigger. Syliva by KO.
Frye/Schilt: Schilt has never been too impressive, and Frye though in his later years should still be able to win. Frye by 1st rd KO.

Second Round:
Nog/Arlovski: Can't see this going any other way but Nog by sub. Arlovski is brilliant on his feet but hasn't ever had someone like Nog on the ground with him.
Barnett/Fedor: This would be one sick matchup. Barnett would pose a serious threat but I see Fedor taking it by 3rd tKO.
Khiritnov/Herring: I'm a fan of both these fighters, both are well rounded and versitile. The nod goes to the Russian again though, he just fights on a whole other level.
Sylvia/Frye: Difficult for me to guess who would win, I think it would depend on whether or not Frye wanted it to stay off the ground. I'd give the nod to Frye but submission, if he takes it to the ground.

Semi Final:
Nog/Fedor: These two going at it again in the cage would be radical. Yes, I said radical. Anyhow, Fedor by UD, Nog hasn't been to great against him before, no reason for me to think otherwise in the cage.
Khiritnov/Frye: This match almost reminds me of Rocky 4, if Stallone were bigger and had a mustache. I'm picking Khiritnov by tko. Frye showed how well he can defend against subs when he went up against Shamrock, but has showed weaknesses in his standup.

Final Round:
Khiritnov/Fedor: Potential match of the year with this one. Whether or not Fedor could KO or sub Khiritnov I'm not sure. My guess is Khiritnov by UD if he can take it to Fedor.
And there it is, any thoughts from John or anyone?

I think Arlovski can beat Nog. He has alot better submission skills himself than most give him credit for. And Frank Mir is very very good on the ground. He is an excellent bjj artist. I'm looking forward to seeing the Arlovski-Mir fight when Frank heals up from his accident. he has been rolling with Caol Uno for a while though..so shouldnt be too long. just my two cents though.

Thank you for the input, Plaster. You could be right about Arlovski, I just don't think has been tested on the ground yet. Though he did sub pretty handily, so he could have a whole other bag of tricks we haven't seen yet.

hey Joseph! Arlovski is a great Sambo fighter as well as a great striker. When he fought Silvia he showed GREAT pose in not continuing to punch after he rocked him.. he still went for the heel hook. I am very anxious to see what he does with Mir.
Who do you like in the upcoming Cotoure/lidell fight? I like chuck myself. I dont know if Randy can take those types of shots. Chuck hits alot harder than Tito, and probably harder than Belfort. Should be fun to see.

I have to go with Cotoure on this one, the first time they fought it was really one sided. I'd really like for Chuck to win though, just not sure where his game is at this time.
;D The Iceman vs Captain America...
lol.. I never noticed both have Marvel nicknames.
