OK, well for one..your counting out Mark Orapallo. He could win the 154, or 176.
198's seem good...i dont pull them that much to be able to tell who is better.
220's Jim Bryan James and Stilkey not sure who would win that 2nd spot
242's 1st Steve Carbone (placed higher than Walther because i havent seen walther there in the 3 years i've been going) 2nd? 3rd?
SUPERS (tough class) 1st Bigwood 2nd Eric guiven 3rd ME

Guy, I probably will not come. My shoulder is/ has been injured for a while now. But if you want my predictions...
176 Marc Orapallo Scott Chimalewski Ron Klemba
198 Chris Myers Ray Darling Eric StarK
220 Jim Bryan Rob Sasso Alan Stilkey
242 Paul Walter Steve Carbone James Retarides
Supers Eric Guevin Luke Eldridge Peter Milano John Ruggerio
Marc Orapallo has what it takes now to beat Scott, and he beat Ron the last time they pulled. He is stronger/ quicker than ever. The same goes with Luke. He took his armwrestling to the next level, you guys will be suprised. If Jim's hand is healthy 220's should be cake. Steve Carbone has the strength and technique to win 242's, he needs to believe in that.

I did forget about Marc. He is very good and getting better. I do think Pete has a chance to Place 220 is James if he pulls there no matter who pulls it.
I wouldnt disagree with Myers winning 198
242 steve is not beating Paul who is the defending National champion, but as far as first in that class fill in the blanks.

Guys please dont take offense when someone makes predictions, its a great topic, and great to debate, but dont let it become personel. Where has John Ruggerio been btw? I think I pulled him at the Can-Ams in 1999 ( and lost) I squeked out a third place pulling a class above my normal one, that is one tough tournament! I wish you all well. Rob B. has devil hair and will win his class.

Hmmmmmmm.. I don't personally think Marc can beat Scott C. Or any of the aforementioned names in the 176's. I have seen both of them, and Scott has gotten better in the past several months.
He was a monster at the table at the PA states, no one even came close to him in his weight class. He Slammed "Psycho" and all the others in the weight class. He even won the right hand overall, beating Pete Milano. I almost fell over when I saw that one. Scott does his hit practically with perfection. His move is probably one of the hardest moves to beat. By the time the go is spewed from the ref's mouth, there is already full force on the oppoinent's hand, and they are catching a three hundred pound bowling ball. Scott has improved lately, and Ill be shocked if he looses . The only way any body listed above is going to be able to beat Scott is to either counter this type of hit, which few at 176 can do, or catch his hit without hitting the pad, which is even harder to do.
Just my thoughts... Chris
P.S. I am trying to get Mike Surplus to go this year. He would be a top contender for the 154's.

Personally, I think Guy is off his meds again. ;D I didn't see Gabe Acardi or Steve Black in the predictions either. If Guy even has a chance, he's gonna have to keep his elbow on the pad, even when he's in trouble I know James has become a great puller, and nothing but good things are in the future because all the CT guys are training together finally!!! See ya when I see ya. Jim Bryan

I'm not offended at all I wont even be able to pull right handed..... I just think his prediction is a little off. Chris does mike surplus pull left handed? Scott C should pull 176's left handed also. I see Jesse Viera coming out on top left handed 76's He's got the hand and the side pressure to do it. He is like lightenning just as fast as Scott. Just my opinion.... anyone that has gripped up with his left in the past 6 months... knows. Left handed 54's probably one of the toughest weight classes. 4 national champions Tim Sears Mike Shaloub Norm D and Benji also Ben frenette is back down to 54 now if mike surplus shows....beautiful. Bring it Ralph is also a major factor in this class. I WILL be ready

OK!!!!
Let the record show that, Guy is on medication and apparently so is Rob!!!
1)176's, Sorry Ron but I would have to pick Scott over you only because he still beats you in your head. And of course there is a fine tuned armwrestler in Marc Orapollo!!!
2)The 98's Ray Darling, Eric Stark, Chris Myers, and Vic Sargent? Not Quite, but close!!!
3)220's, The number one slot is right and the rest really don't matter. It would be a little more interesting if Bill Sinks and Mike Selearis showed up to fight for the second and third spot, but if they don't it will probably be a cake walk for The "R".
4)242's, Some of you might have forgotten that Kurt Howgate has dropped to 242, do not count him out in this class. If Paul Walthers shows up, it will be like the 220's, cake walk for him and everyone else fighting for the second and third spot.
And now what you have all been waitng for.....
The 154's
Just kidding, they are too hard too predict, they are all little and stuff and you never know who's gonna show up.
Seriously, on to the Supers.
1)Luke Eldridge stay home!!! Just like last year, you will probably get hurt again and take, oh I don't know, maybe last!!!
2)As for the rest of the class, tough, real tough!!! It will really depend on how I'M feeling that day!!!
So, in closing.....
Happy New Year and Good luck to everyone going to the Can-Ams!!!
