Mr. Thames,
I read with great interest your recent posts concerning Freemasonry. I asked for clarification about your post connecting Presidents Bush and Reagan, concentration camps, the Euro and the Dollar, etc. You have not responded to my request.
May I ask why?
By way of introduction:
I am a member and Past Master of Saint James Lodge, Mansfield, MA.
I am a member of Rabboni Royal Arch Chapter and Attleboro Council of Royal and Select Master Masons in the York Rite side of Freemasonry, and a member of the Valley of Southeastern Massachusetts, Scottish Rite, or 32 degree, which consists of
Fall River Lodge of Perfection;
Samuel C. Lawrence Council, Princes of Jerusalem;
Saint Andrew Chapter of Rose Croix;
Old Colony Consistory
And I still have to train and pull, occasionally.
Mr. Thames, you describe the Washington Monument as "one of the tallest masonry srtuctures", going to
www.dictionary.com, the first definition given for masonry is noun. A structure built of stone or brick by a mason. This description fits any such structure, including possibly the chimney on your home.
I went to the National Parks website,
www.nps.gov, and entered "Washington Monument" into the search field. The first link displayed was
www.nps.gov/wamo/home.htm. The menu on the left side of this screen shows a clickable link labeled "Memorial Stones". which leads to a description of the 193 memorial stones which adorned the east and west inside walls of the monument. I saw no link for Masonic stones, as you described. I believe that either I am on the wrong web page, or you lied to further your agenda.
You went on to state that the Masons control much of the world's money. A few minutes of research shows they indeed do. Here is what they do with it:
The Shriners, who are Masons, will contribute $625 Million dollars this year to the Shriners hospitals for children. There are 21 Shriners Hospitals in North America. 18 (including one in Shreveport, LA) are orthopaedic hospitals. 3 treat burns, and 1 treats burns, orthopaedic and spinal cord injuries. The requirements for admission to these hospitals, are simply that the patient be under 18 years old, and that they can be helped by treatment. In the case of the Boston Burns hospital, it waived the age limit in response to the Rhode Island night club fire a couple of years ago, to allow people over 18 in, due to the number of victims. Treatment for all patients at these hospitals is provided free of charge. (www.shrinershq.org)
The Massachusetts Grand Lodge oversees The Angel Foundation, which was started in 1998. 94 lodges in 11 states participate in this fund, and by 2002, the Foundation had dispensed over $100,000. This is done on a case by case basis on the local level to provide coats, shoes, eye glasses, field trip fees, etc. for underpriviledged children.
The Massachusetts Grand Lodge also awards $5,000.00 college scholarships annually to the children and grandchildren of Massachusetts Masons. Since 1995, this program has given out $2,398,500. (www.glmasons-mass.org)
The Masonic 32 degree Learning Center (www.supremecouncil.org) provides multisensory reading and written tutorial programs for children with dyslexia. Free of charge.
Scottish Rite also contributes $150,000. annually for research pretaining to Schizophrenia.
My own lodge, now a whopping 75 members, gives a minimum of $500 annually to the llocal Christmas is for Kids, and funds a yearly $500. scholarship for a Mansfield HS graduate.
I have to leave for my daughters performance with the Southeastern Massachusetts District Band. I shall return.
