Well I just heard on the radio that Terri Schiavo has finally been promoted to another life. Too bad she had to be starved to death for two weeks so her husband didn't have to deal with her any more. Just wanted to share.

She is resting in peace, however it is a shame that she had to be starved in order to get there. Thank you for sharing Andy.

Lets pray that God uses this to touch the hearts of everyone involved. Event the courts who neglected it.
Romans 8:28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

This was a no-win situation for everyone involved, regardless which 'side' you were on.
Katrina, my fiance, was faced with this situation several years ago after her husband was in a motorcycle accident. He also had brain damage and was on life-support to keep him alive. She made the decision to let him go, rather than giving her kids false hope when there was no chance of recovery.
Be weary of being too judgmental. "Life" does not consist of being kept alive by machines for years on end.
And no, I do not know all the details on Terri Schiavo, but I know enough to make my own opinion.

I have such mixed feelings concerning this. No, I do not want to be kept alive if I were in that state. I guess that it is that she has been this way for 15 years. Every test, every avenue should have been from the beginning, then, if at that time, she should have allowed to go. It is just after all these years, and to last 2 weeks..... I don't know, something is just not right, but I can't see it right now. I also don't feel that the husbands true concern were with her.

Kurt'
I agree with you. This was no ones buisness but the faimly involved. What I dont think all these people with strong opinions on the subject realize, they are just feeding into the media attention. Most media is out their to play on your fears and anger. Dont bite. Get on with your life and pray you never have to make these type of choices.

Christain, a feeding tube being inserted into you because you can not eat for yourself is techiniquely life support. people generaly think of life support as breathing assistance even dialisys is life support.
this is a no win situation how dare any of you judge either side !!! that is GOD's job ONLY ... PERIOD !! none of us know anything about this situation except what the media tells us and if you take that as gospel you are a moron
if Terri expressed to her husband that she did not want to live like that and he exhausted every avenue to help and let her go it is his and GOD's biz if he murdered her and was hiding evidence guess what it is his and GOD's biz Christopher Myers
Katrina I had never heard that story before and my heart truly pains for you. deeply and truly. dont ever let people get in to your head and tell you anything unless they walked a mile in your shoes. most people who are quick to have opinions would buckle at the first couple steps !!

Sorry Mr. Myers, BUT you are wrong. A feeding tube inserted is not techniquely life support. Babies, quadripilgics, some, alzheimers patients, etc can't feed themselves. What do you want to do with them? Kill them too, if you don't "want " them anymore? Her heart and lungs worked without support, she only needed HELP to eat.
Her husband "expressed " his " wifes "( 1 1/2 years after the " accident " he was dating someone, who he is still with, and has 2 children by ) views 7 years AFTER the accident at a deposition for a malpractice suit. Why didn't he say anything at the beginning.
GODS BIZ? What the hell is that?

Christain, No I dont advocate killing killing babies and quads but they chew and swallow their own food and even if they did not they are still getting life support but the big difference that they have a future to look forward to babies will grow and develop quadrapledgics can still have a great quality of life if they CHOOSE too they can express their wishes to live or Die. One of my biggest heros is a quad I wrote about her in my Words of Wisdom.but Terri S. was brain dead there is no quality of life there is no life at all no more than extracting a muscle fiber and keeping it alive in a test tube with a sugar solution. As far as what her husband did and when he did it it is not up to us to decide when we are not selected for the jury and our evidence comes from tv or newspapers. as far as God allthough I dont feel the need to preach as some do I am a spiritual person ( allthough I respect the opinions of those who are not ) and if evreyone is gonna post their big fat opinions than I did too mine is that the Terri S situation belongs between God and the parties directly involved

Mr. Myers, She was denied rehab for more then 10 years, how the hell could she have "possibly " gotten better?
Believing or not believing in spirituality (?) had nothing to do with this...Selfishness on both sides did. Thats all.

There is nothing we can do about this situation but pray. It is in Gods hands. We could protest. Im all for protesting. its were you get the word protestant ;D We could protest that this woman was murdered by the courts. But we must also protest and should be protesting even more for the past 30 years the state approved murder of 40,000,000 unborn babies. We should protest ALL state approved MURDER. although God gives authority to the state to put to death people such as serial killers goofnuts like that. This woman was hardly a serial killer worthy of such a death. The death sentence is not murder (in most cases) Taking someone off life support is not murder. But denying someone there right to live especially by starving them is murder.
