Getting Armwrestling into the Olympics seems to be a goal of nearly everyone involved in the sport. I'm sure most of these questions have been brought up before but I'm interested in what you guys and gals think. The following are a few questions I've been pondering lately about Armwrestling in the Olympics.
Would any current tournaments be viewed as a qualifier or a pre-qualifier for the games?
How many/which weight classes should be represented, should they be the same as freestyle wrestling?
How would the team Armwrestling be structured?
Which set of rules would be the best for the Olympics, are there any new rules you'd like to see?
How many competitors should each country be allowed to have as represenatives?
Would the Olympics finally put an end to the "Real World's Champion" dilemma?

Would the Olympics finally put an end to the "Real World's Champion" dilemma?
there s no dilemma about it.
yukon jack winners 1 (5%) petaluma winners 0 (0%) WAF and petaluma winners 1 (5%) WAF winners,as all countries participate 16 (84%) professional money award winners 1 (5%) international tournament winners 0 (0%)
this s the answer about it.

lol, okay Engin, you win, I was just saying not everyone thinks that the WAF champion is the world champion, but you're correct that the majority does. Does this mean though that if olympic armwrestling existed, it would not determine the world's champions?

Why would it? The other sports have both, why not us?

you write about the olympics, right?do you or those ppl think that we will be in the olympics without a world federation, without countries?there is only one world federation that unifies all countries that have a national team.or is there anyone thinks that we all will be wearing the same shirt that sponsor of the tournament will give us instead of our national team tshirts?
84%of the votes probably is enough to represant one spirit more than 5%.probably that one vote for professional award winners came from the same person who cared about a thousand dollars more than beating the best armwrestler of all times.
Joseph, are you one of the men who thinks you can get a world title without the countries (what makes the world)being represanted?

Joseph, how can an athlete be qualified for the olympics without competing and placing in the continental and world championships?
if we get to be part of the olympics, then this will be a step higher than being a world champion.olympics are held once in every four years.there s no higher step for an athlete than being an olympic champion.

Leonard, of course there would be both, I was just wondering about how both would be structred.
Engin, I'm still in the very beginning's of armwrestling, just trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible.
As far as a world champion goes, I do agree with you. I don't like to compare one sport with another, but in this case I'll make an exception. When America has its "World Series" of baseball, it's not truly a world series. From what I know of the WAF they have the best representation of all countries, therefore currently it is the best measurement of a world champion. If though armwrestling did exist in the olympics, would that be the better determination of a world's champion?
Sorry if I've ruffled anyone's feathers here, just trying to learn as much as I can and try to strike up a somewhat interesting conversation.
